INTRODUCTION

Aloe Vera, a very popular succulent plant to every Filipino, is known for its wide range of

health benefits. This plant has been the subject of much scientific study over the last few years.

The Aloe Vera has been used for centuries and is currently more popular than ever. This low-

maintenance succulent, cultivated worldwide for its aloe gel, is widely used nowadays on food,

cosmetics, food supplements and herbal remedies. To Filipinos, Aloe Vera is very useful to

everyday living since it plays a big role in skin protection and good digestion.

The focus if this feasibility study is the Aloe Vera Chinensis, a succulent that has a long

history of being used for medicinal purposes, dating back to ancient Egypt and has been used for

about 6,000 years now. The plant is native to North Africa, Southern Europe, and the Canary

Islands. Today, Aloe Vera is grown in tropical climates worldwide. From being used as skin

protection, a key to good digestion, and is now discovered to be potentially helpful for diabetic

and cancer patients.

Aloe Vera, now FDA approved, can also be a tool for producing healthier food products

such as jams and jellies to satisfy each Filipino in a healthier way. This plant plays a big role to

the health of the people; researchers are just beginning to unlock the benefits of this universal

plant and its byproducts.

A. ENTERPRISE AND PRODUCT NAME

COMPANY NAME

The company’s name is Martizano Enterprise. It originated from the surname of one of

the partners, Rexanie Mae Martizano, who initiated the start of the business. This was also

adopted to recognize her cousin, Geneil Martizano, who discovered the recipe of the jam the

company currently produces and gave her motivation to put up the business. In addition to this,

the name is unique and can distinguish the enterprise from others.
COMPANY LOGO

The company’s logo is simple, yet still contains

aesthetic and noticeable features. It states the company’s

name with an aloe vera above it. Aloe vera is the company’s

trademark because it emphasizes the unique features of the

products we offer. It is then bordered with elegance and

simplicity. It intends to be a logo which can be easily remembered by our customers for them to

remember our company name that we believe have greater impact to our business.

PRODUCT NAME

Martizano’s Enterprise offers a product with a name Aloevyou♥ Aloe Vera Jam. The word

“Aloevyou♥” from the product’s name, came from the words “Aloe Vera” and “I love you”

combined. The company chose such words because it remarkably depicts the product’s

characteristics. Our jams use aloe vera as one of its main ingredients and sugar which is also

filled with sweetness and is as sweet as saying “I love you” to someone. We are ensuring to

provide products that can benefit our customers’ well-being. “Aloevyou♥” is also followed by “Aloe

Vera Jam” to make it look like we are saying “I love you” to our product which is aloe vera jam.

PRODUCT LOGO

The product logo simply states the product name

with a heart shape to easily portray that it also states “I love you” when read. Its design was

made to look simple yet interesting and can be easily read and understood by the customers to

establish brand name.

B. PLANT, OFFICE, AND BUSINESS LOCATION

The agreed office is located at Marikina-Infanta Highway, Antipolo, Rizal 1870, the same

with the Plant’s location. It is placed within the manufacturing location for easy access of process

and communication of the business operations. It also has a consideration for efficient delivery

time from manufacturing site to retail kiosks with an approximated round-trip travel time 4 hours

and 30 minutes. It is architecturally designed as a two-story building and constructed with a total

cost of 1,950,000php. The building is designed in accordance of our business’ nature. The

ground-floor is allocated and used to serve our business’ production and administrative functions,

while our rooftop was designed as a planting area of our Aloe Vera.

BUSINESS LOCATION

Considering the strategic advantages, disadvantages and price of the location and the

target customers, the company chose to put up kiosks in selected malls within Metro Manila.

These malls are SM City Manila, SM City North EDSA, Gateway Mall, and SM Megamall. The

company will have its own kiosks in the said malls to establish name, brand, interest and curiosity

among passersby.

C. DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS

Company Background:

The Martizano Enterprise was founded in 2018 by the partners- Bartolome, Ibañez,

Magallones, Marin, Martizano. The company was founded and continue to operate based on the

principle of providing high quality product at the most affordable price in the market

Martizano Enterprise is a manufacturing company under Food Industry. Company

produced Aloe Vera Jam product and will be process through machineries and sell through kiosks.

The enterprise will adopt Partnership type of business organization, consist of the

F. RESEARCH AND METHODOLOGY

1. Scope and Limitations

The range of this study is engaging in manufacturing and distributing healthy, fresh and

organic Aloe Vera Jam. The product is made available in four major malls within Metro Manila

particularly SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Manila and Gateway Mall. The proponents will

conduct surveys to the prospective consumers and inquiry to the prospective customers within

the target location who will be the target market.

2. Method of Research

 Survey

The researchers conducted a survey to get the respondent’s opinion from different areas

in Metro Manila in the new product, Aloevyou. The target market and also the respondents of the

research are the residents of Metro Manila of all ages, specifically those who are residing near

SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Manila and Gateway Mall where the products are made

available. The survey was made in the malls where the kiosks will be put up. The researchers

free samples of the actual pineapple aloe vera jam and guyabano aloe vera jam for the

respondents to be familiar in the said products and ensure an accurate response in the survey

questionnaires.

 Questionnaire

The researchers used questionnaire for the respondents to answer. The questionnaire is

shown in the appendix found at the ending of the research paper.

 Usage of Internet

The researchers browsed the Internet to collect information regarding the competitor’s

performances, market analysis, and other information used in completion of the research.

G. PROJECT SUMMARY

MARKETING ASPECT

Market study includes the propective target market which are the people living in different

areas in Metro Manila, the competitors of the business, and their respective market share, the

market strategy to gain market share and compete with others. This part also includes the

projected demand and supply for 5 years of operation which are determined by the factors like

population growth, market acceptability, and any other factors gathered through the usage of

survey questionnaires. This also contains the demand situation, supply situations, demand supply

situations, price strategies and appropriate marketing program.
