PENCIL CASE
Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 52 sts

Hair
Wrap yarn around two fingers 20 times. Tie another length of yarn around centre of bundle and pull
tight, knot to secure. Cut through folded ends

To make up
Sew cast-on and cast-off edges of Body together to make a tube. Sew running stitch around one end
of tube and pull up to gather. Stitch centre of arm piece in place at this end. Thread sewing needle
with cotton and, coming from inside of Body, sew up through top of Body and Arms, then bring
needle up through hole in centre of bead and through centre of hair bundle. Take needle back down
through all layers several times to secure, then fasten off. Use paint markers to draw a funny face

HAIR SCRUNCHIES
Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 12 sts
 Beg with a p row work 55 (70, 85) rows in st st
 Cast off

To make up
Fold in half lengthways and sew side edges together using mattress stitch. Cut a 12 (16, 20) cm
length of elastic and insert it into knitted tube. Sew ends of elastic together, then sew ends of
scrunchie together, enclosing elastic LK
