General Procedures for a Ladder Competition Format:

1. At the start of the tournament, teams placed on the ladder (or "bumper board") either at random or based on previous
performance indicators.
2. Using rules and regulations agreed upon by the sport council, teams challenge teams that are one or two rung above
them in the standings.
3. In the example shown, if the Islanders beat the Angels, they exchange places in the standings.
4. Duty Team rotation should be assigned at random prior seeding teams for Opening Day matches.
5. Teams serve as Duty Team on a set rotating basis. On days that a team serves in that role, it cannot be challenged, and,
thus, does not move up or down in the rankings. Teams ranked immediately below the scheduled Duty Team for a given
day, can only challenge other teams that are ranked above the Duty Team on that day. IF the Duty Team is in first place,
they still cannot be challenged on that day.

Possible Rules on Team Challenges in Ladder Competitions:

1. Teams should be required to play a designated number of games within a specified amount of time.
2. Challenges that have not been played within the time limit result in a forfeit.
3. When a team loses a challenge, it needs to play at least one other team before the same team can be challenged.
For ex., if the Colts beat the Giants, the Giants need to play another team before they can challenge the Colts again.

Some Suggested Competition Regulations:

A team can challenge other teams that are between one and three rungs above them on the ladder. If it wins, it exchanges
position with that team.
OR
As above, with the winner taking the place of the challenged team with the loser dropping down one place in the
standings.
OR
The tournament can have "open challenges" where any team can challenge any other team on the ladder within a given
time.

NOTE: In case of a tie, the rank of both teams remains the same.
Adjusting the Teams' position in the Pyramid:
Team names can be placed directly in the "text-boxes" so that
following each day's round of challengess, their position can
be adjusted by simply dragging the individual boxes onto the
appropriate rung of the ladder.
