Iowa State Daily Ames, IA

Voices Editor January 2018 – May 2018
• Help advertise a relatively new addition to the Iowa State Daily to students and faculty on campus.
• Encourage and facilitate campus conversation on topics of diversity and inclusion.
• Research topics, seek out sources, interview them and write their stories fairly and completely – giving a
voice to the voiceless.
Opinion Editor June 2017 – January 2018
• Produce up to seven fact-based opinion columns per week.
• Lead editorial board discussions in order to form the opinion of the paper and write one editorial per week.
• Oversee a team of over 10 columnists. Assist with their writing process, edit their columns and instruct
them with improvements.
