EVALUATION

Based on the given evaluation of the participants in the daily evaluation form and
project evaluation form, there were several strengths of the activity that emerged. One of
which is the unconventional style of facilitating the workshop. Through the unique approach
of the facilitators in the presentation of activities and discussion of topics, the interaction
between the facilitators and the participants became active. According to the participants,
the discussions were easy to understand because the presentation was well organized and
backed with engaging activities.

Furthermore, the facilitators proved to be approachable which made the atmosphere

of the workshop conducive to learning throughout the whole duration. It was also an
advantage that the facilitators dealt not only with the theories. They were also able to relate
it in reality and the present situation.

In terms of the management, everything was provided both for the facilitator and
participants from their workshop kits down to the technical needs and other emergency
materials necessary for the workshop. The venue is well ventilated, spacious, and has the
needed facilities like chairs, tables, white board, LED projector, etc. Also, the activities were
well documented from papers to pictures with the presence of the secretariats and
documenters. Considering as well that the workshop schedule was from 1:00pm to 9:00pm,
the participants and the facilitators were provided with snacks and dinner including water
provision. Overall, the participants and facilitators described the management as well
organized and effective in executing their tasks.

On the other hand, there were small loop holes that were also quite noticeable along
the process. The participants gave some key notes on how to further improve the
implementation of the activities to deliver the module more effectively.

One of which is that the facilitators failed to utilize the projector as a visual aid to
present the daily topics in a more presentable manner. It was good that the facilitators did
some improvisation using traditional visual aids but since the facilities were provided, it
would’ve been better if it was utilized to deliver the lessons more efficiently.

It was also observed that the facilitators seemed to have forgotten the inclusion of
warming-up as one of the preliminary activities considering that the group dynamics and
games that the participants did entailed a lot of energy and flexibility. Lastly, most of the
participants were asking for a longer schedule of the workshop instead of just five days
because they were only able to apply few of the many styles and principles in directing. They
also demanded to have more scripts to analyze since the participants were only given one
script which happens to be an excerpt.

The participants including the management have comprehensively given both the
pros and cons of the workshop above. But overall, the Directing Workshop received positive
feedbacks both from the project organizers and most especially from the participants who
were there all throughout the whole process.
