G lobal Dental Market is expected to more than US$ 60 Billion industry by 2024.

Dental Health Market

Patient demand for better dental care facilities has increased due to increasing
dental awareness and growing disposable income of the people around the world.
Furthermore, factors like rising geriatric population, changing lifestyles, increasing
incidences of dental caries and other periodontal diseases, rising demand for cosmetic
dentistry, and increased public and private health care expenditure are persistently
driving the dental care market.

In 2017, Dental Equipment segment accounted for the maximum share among all
other segments viz. Preventive, Restoratives, Prosthetics, Implants, Orthodontics and
Endodontic studied in the report.

The growing adoption of advanced technology and equipment in the diagnosis and
treatment procedures to ensure that each patient should get quality dental care services
positively impacted this market segment to flourish now and then.

The global dental equipment market size was valued at USD 6.08 billion in 2013 and
is projected to grow at a CAGR 4.9% during the forecast period. The market growth can
be attributed to key factors such as rising demand for dental procedures, increasing
prevalence of dental disorders, and rise in medical tourism activities pertaining to these
procedures. Furthermore, rising geriatric population and their demand for preventive,
restorative and surgical services for dental care is likely to boost the market growth in
the coming years.

Favorable government initiatives pertaining to dental hygiene is another factor

propelling the growth of the market. In the recent years, governments of many countries
are initiating reforms for development of dental health of their country.

For instance, in the Australian 2016-17 Budget was framed to deliver a reform through
a Single National Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme and allocated nearly USD 1.29
billion (AUD 1.7 billion) towards public services for dental care. Furthermore, according
to Germany’s healthcare policies 87.5% of its total population is a member of “sick
funds”- a not-for-profit organization. It provides free basic dental services accompanied
with several advanced options such as orthodontics, and crowns and bridges.

An Intro to Vienna “Austria’s capital offers a unique blend of imperial traditions and stunning architecture.
Famous for its many cultural events, classical concerts, imperial architecture, coffee
houses, cozy wine taverns, and the very special Viennese charm”
Vienna’s history dates back to the first post-Christian century when the Romans
established the military camp Vindobona. Today’s cityscape is characterized by the
abundance of baroque buildings created mostly under the rule of Empress Maria
Theresia and Emperor Franz Joseph who was largely responsible for the monumental
architecture round the Ringstraße.
Schloss Schönbrunn, the former imperial summer residence, is one of the most popular
sights. The imposing palace with the beautifully tended formal gardens, the Gloriette
monument, the Palm House, and the zoo attract a great number of visitors each year.
The vast Hofburg was once the home of the Habsburg family for over six centuries, and
is an impressive repository of culture and heritage.
Today the splendid baroque Belvedere Palace houses the Österreichische Galerie
displaying the largest collection of works by Gustav Klimt and Oskar Kokoschka as
well as famous paintings by Egon Schiele. Vienna’s prime landmarks are the gothic St.
Stephen’s Cathedral, the Giant Ferris Wheel in the Prater, Vienna’s old recreational
park, and the Spanish Riding School with their world-famous Lipizzaner horses.
Vienna has more museums and galleries of international reputation than you can
shake a stick at: Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna with the world’s largest collection
of Bruegel paintings, MuseumsQuartier with Leopold Museum, Museum Moderner
Kunst, Architekturzentrum and Kunsthalle rank among the city’s most important
cultural venues. The Albertina is home to the world’s largest collection of graphic arts
and prints.
Vienna owes much of its international fame to the many celebrated composers who
lived and worked here including Strauß, Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn. The Vienna
Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world’s best, the Staatsoper one of the world’s
leading opera houses, the Vienna Boys’ Choir one the world’s most famous. In the last
years Vienna has also established itself as a great musical metropolis.
In Vienna, old coffee houses and rustic wine taverns stand alongside with top
restaurants and shops, time-honored events alternate with internationally-acclaimed
extravaganzas to create a unique and very special ambiance. Another special feature
of Vienna is its many green spaces and recreational areas such as the Wienerwald, the
Prater and the Donauinsel.

Transport within Austria:
Train: Public transport system in Austria is excellent. Austria’s rail network is comfortable,
reliable and fast. The main rail website offers excellent information on timetables, services and
discounts. The quality of service offered by the rail network makes it far more appealing than
bus links.
Vienna boasts several major train stations. Most people will arrive either at the Southern or
the Western main train stations which are well-connected with the rest of the city.
Cities such as Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Munich, Venice are all are regularly served from
the city’s main stations. For the more adventurous there is also the possibility to travel further
a field to destinations such as Warsaw, Berlin, Kiev etc.
Air links: All of Austria’s major cities including Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Graz and Klagenfurt
and Vienna have their own international airports. Austrian Airlines, Austria’s national carrier,
serves all of the above cities and connects Austria with many international destinations. There
are now a range of low cost carriers which connect Vienna, Linz and Bratislava to a number of
European destinations.
Public Transport: Vienna features an impressive public transport system. the subway, trams and
buses assure reliable and clean transportation. The underground/subway system is particularly
easy to navigate. At night, there exists a network of night buses, a cheaper alternative to taking
a taxi. All of these transport options are available at very reasonable prices ranging from Euro
1.80 for a single Journey, Euro 14.00 for a weekly card and Euro 49.50 for a monthly ticket.
Cycling: Much of Vienna encourages cyclists through designated cycle lanes. Since 2002 the
city has even offered public bicycles ‘Stadtrad’ in central districts. Tourists and locals use them
for short distances. They are free save apart from a small deposit.
There are many beautifully tended cycling routes throughout the country esp. along the
Danube River.
Getting There:
Vienna Schwechat is Austria’s main airport, but you can also fly to Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck,
Klagenfurt or Graz. Austrian Airlines (AUA), is a holding company that includes Lauda Air and
Tyrolean Airlines as well, flies to numerous international destinations. Find out about cheap
flights to Vienna.
The Austrian rail network is comfortable, modern and reliable. International bus connections
are cheaper but also slower and less comfortable.
