B. Select measuring mode (Abs, Trans) by pressing button Func (5)
9. Put liquid standard sample with known concentration into cuvette rack (25),enter optical bath by
pulling cuvette rack rod (4), close sample room cover. get measuring data (Abs or Trans) and
record it on paper (for Vis model) or printout it through mini printer
10. Finish all standard liquid sample with known concentration measuring one by one just as steps
above, get measuring data on LCD and record data on paper (for Vis model) or printout them
through mini printer
11. Put liquid sample into cuvette rack (25), enter optical bath by pulling cuvette rack rod(4), close
sample room cover, get measuring data on LCD and record data
13. lnput all data to build a working curve by using excei, vertical ordinate value is concentration of
standard sample, horizontal ordinate value is Abs or Trans measured from instrument.
Note: four and above standard samples with gradient concentration value is necessary for better

Linear Accuracy.

Note: Effective linear concentration range is 1-1999, pls dilution samples if it is out of range.

a How to replace halogen-tungsten lamp

+ Power off
r Unscrew 1pc screw of wavelength knob, and take awa)' wavelengtlt knob

out of the seat.

t lnsert the new halogen-tungsten lamp into the seat, and fix it with the spring.
o Watch the light spot emitted by the halogen-tungsten iar-np on the entrance slit,.check
whetherthe position is correct. lf ihe value on LCD lTrans) is unstable, adjustthe position
of lamp slight until the reading is stable.

a How to replace deuterium lamp (for UV -Vis model)

r Power off
. unscrew 1pc screw of wavelength hnob, and talre awa)' uaavelengilr knob

ffiffi
e Remove 4pcs screws on the left and right side of instrument cover
+ Open instrument cover (care for connection mble)
+ Loosen three color wires of deuterium lamp by screwdriver (pls remember connected positions of
color wires, this is very important ! ).
+ Take away deuterium lamp (together with the lamp holder) from the seat (this can be done only
by unscrewing the two bolts in the lamp holder), and loosen the clamp bolt of deuterium lamp.
+ Put on the new lamp, fix the deuterium lamp (together with the deuterium lamp holder) on the
seat, connect the colorwires (wires should be connected as before)
Caution: pls connect color wires just as before!
+ Adjust the deuterium lamp hole around 55mm away from the bottom plate, the position of light
hole is toward the spherical reflection minor in the lamp chamber
. Power on, keep lamp selecting switch at deuterium side.
+ Watch the light spot emitted by the deuterium lamp on the entrance siit, to check whether its
position is correct. lf the reading (Trans value) is unstable, readjust the position of the
deuterium lamp in a slight way until the reading is stable, and then tighten the clamp bolt.
