Over 100 people were saved at the Alabama National
Fair. Eastmont rented a booth and through S.O.S.
Ministry the gospel was shared. (Do you know The
Three Things God Cannot Do?) That is so amazing.
Here is what I have noticed.
1. More are saved outside our church building
than inside. Sure, people are saved here. But
more are saved away. Why? Because lost
people don’t generally come to church things.
So we go to them. That’s how Jesus said to do
it. And it works!
2. Many are hungry for the gospel. People of all
shapes, sizes, ages and color were saved. (PTL)
3. God works through all people. Church staff
didn’t lead this event. Our members did. They
prayed, prepared and went out in faith. What a
novel idea. People reaching people. Thank you
S.O.S. Ministry team.
Prayer meeting and Halloween? We are modifying our
schedule for Wednesday, October 31. We are calling it
Redeeming the Time (see Ephesians 5:16). On a night
that usually glorifies the devil we want to take back
some territory.
We will have Fellowship Supper as usual (5:00 – 6:00
pm). We will also have Adult Prayer Time. Here is
what is different. We will not have children’s activities
like RA, GA or Mission Friends (choir will meet from
6:00 – 7:00).
What to do? 1) Tract & Treat. If you choose to stay
home, hand out a simple gospel tract (with candy) to
those who come to your home. If your children go out
in the neighborhood, give to the homes you visit the
gospel tract. We will provide the tract. 2) Strengthen
Relationships with Friends and Community. If you
choose to go out that night, do so with some friends
from church or the neighborhood. It builds bridges of
fellowship. God can use that time.
Finally, Trunk or Treat brings hundreds to our campus.
Pray for it. We will share the gospel in multiple ways
(including SOS). Let’s “Redeem the times, because the
days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16
Hurricane Disaster Relief
If you are interested in helping with disaster relief you
can do so by making a monetary donation with
“hurricane relief” in the memo line or by donating items
from a list available through the church office. Teams
will be making Saturday day trips in the future to work
alongside a Panama City church. If interested in being a
part of a work team please call the church office.

Please prayerfully consider joining our Preschool and
Children’s Ministry through July 2019 to teach, serve, and
love on our children on Sundays. We are still in need of lov-
ing adults (males too) during Preschool Worship once a
month at the 10:30am service. Current needs are:
1st Sunday 2 Bedbabies - 2 volunteer
3rd Sunday Toddlers - 2 volunteers
4th Sunday Bed Babies - 1 volunteer
5th Sunday 2 year olds - 1 volunteer

Breakfast @ 8 AM, Room 313. This is a vital Team Meeting
that builds unity and provides insight into our growth. Our

Men’s Chili Cook Off - Thursday, Nov. 8, 6:30 pm
Come join us for a night of fellowship and the best chili

STUDENT CHOIR
The Student Choir rehearses every Sunday at 4PM in the
choir suite. We are investing in the future of Eastmont
in worship and service to our Lord through music. Come
be a part and be in prayer for our next generation of
worship leaders!
STUDENT JAM
The next STUDENT JAM is Sunday, November 4, 12-4.
Come hang out with our talented students and jam. We
will have pizza for lunch and a battle of the bands....we
have instruments to borrow or bring your own.
KIDZ CHOIR
Join us each Sunday night from 4:45-6:15 for fun and
worship as we work to present PARABLELOOZA!
1st-6th Grade drop off at the basketball court, pick up in
the choir suite.
Pre-k meets in the children’s wing.
FOREVER YOUNG CHOIR
Forever Young Choir will rehearse October 30, Novem-
ber 13 and 27.
WORSHIP CHOIR
Members of Eastmont Worship Choir are participating
in the combined Celebration Choir for Montgomery
Baptist Association’s Associational Meeting on Novem-
ber 4. There will be a special rehearsal at 7:30, Oct. 24.
The associational meeting will be held at Heritage
Baptist Church at 6:00.
CHRISTMAS PRESENTATION
Eastmont’s Christmas Worship Service will be December
16 and the music ministries have already begun prepar-
ing. If you would like to be a part of this powerful even-
ing we have music and CDs available in the Choir Suite.

A worship gathering for 18-25 year olds meeting at

Mission Spotlight— Wares Ferry Elementary
Eastmont has an ongoing relationship with the staff and
students at Wares Ferry Road Elementary School.
 Good News Club on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 -
4:30 pm during the school year.
 60 filled backpacks provided for Wares Ferry
students in need, along with supplies for teachers.
 Teacher Appreciation Breakfast for staff hosted by
Young Women on Mission
If you would like to help with ministry at Wares Ferry,
please contact the church office.
Memorial Rock Garden in Memory of Layla Hill
The rock garden is meant to encourage family and
friends who have lost a loved one. If you would like to
make a donation, please make the check out to Eastmont
Baptist Church and in the note, write ‘Memorial Rock
Garden’.
Ministry Assistant Position Available
Applications are being accepted for the position of
Ministry Assistant to the pastor and assistant pastor.
Must be proficient in computer skills and have strong
organizational and interpersonal skills. Resumes should
be submitted to Karen Bush in the church office.
