Internet of Things
BIGQ3.0

INTRODUCTION :
AMURoboclub in collaboration with its alumni announce BIG Q 3.0. The
contest is open for all AMU students. The objective of this contest is to give a
pathway to students who wish to create and innovate something new by
providing technical mentorship and resources from AMURoboclub.

THEME :
In this third version of BIG Q , the theme is to design and implement a device
on the Internet of Things (IoT) in which your device contributes in the fields of
agriculture, energy conservation or problem related to real world.

Wikipedia says -
The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home
appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors,
actuators, and connectivity which enables these things to connect, collect and
exchange data, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the
physical world into computer-based systems, resulting in efficiency
improvements, economic benefits, and reduced human exertions.

Your proposed design should follow three constraints :


1) Authenticity : The submitted design should be your own original idea and
not copied or taken from anywhere else.
2) Novelty : The submitted design should have something new and different
from what already has been made.
3) Application : Your design should have a real life application and should
contribute to problems of real world.
CONTEST STRUCTURE :
1) REGISTRATION : All the participating teams are required to form and
register their team and provide details about their idea. You can register at
(link). Last date of registration id 11thOctober, 2018. No further registrations
will be entertained after that.
2) PRELIMINARY ROUND: All registered teams will have to give a 5 min
presentation in front of alumni and faculty members proposing their idea that
they have submitted in the form. Teams will be evaluated based on the
innovation and the quality of their proposal. Prelims will be held on 13th
October 2018.
3) RESULT: Teams qualifying the preliminary round will be provided with
technical mentorship and based on their performance, their projects will be
fully or partially funded by AMURoboclub/faculty/alumni. The participants will
also have to fund their project to some extent.

RULES :
1) The contest is open for all AMU students.
2) Team can be of maximum 3 members.
3) Judges decision will be final and unobjectionable.
4) Organizers have the right to change or modify any rule/criteria, if needed at
any point of time.
