Randy Pinocci is the Republican nominee running
for the open seat of District 1 on the Montana Public
Service Commission (PSC), which regulates utilities
for the state’s rate payers, including water, natural gas,
electricity and telecommunications.
The District 1 position became open this year as
current commissioner Travis Kavulla (R-Great Falls)
has been term-limited out, which takes effect in January
2019, and couldn’t run for this same position in the
June 5 primary election nor the upcoming November 6
general election.
District 1 covers 19 counties in northeastern and
northcentral Montana, including Blaine, Cascade,
Chouteau, Daniels, Dawson, Fergus, Garfield, Hill,
Judith Basin, Liberty, McCone, Petroleum, Phillips,
Richland, Roosevelt, Sheridan, Toole, Valley and
Wibaux.

On the boys’ side, 8th grader Lane Thompson,

points at the Harlem meet.
The GMS cross country team ended up racing 8
times for the year, starting the season in Wolf Point
back in late August and finishing in Harlem. Other
venues included a home meet at the City of Glasgow’s
Sullivan Park, then on the road in Culbertson, Havre,
and Frazer before hosting two dozen schools at
Kiwanis Park at Fort Peck. The harriers finished the
season on the road in Miles City and Harlem.
Both the boys and girls teams fielded 16
runners. Scotty boys, and their grades, included
