In the modern life, most people live in big cities where they barely know a few people in their

neighborhood. In the past, there were advantages and disadvantages of living in a small community.

I believe there were three main benefits. Firstly, because everyone lived in the small region they surely
knew their neighborhood well. They should interact with everyone in case to fulfilled their daily needs.
Secondly, people who lived in a small community tended to have strong brotherhood therefore, if their
neighbor had difficulties they would help and support him/her sincerely. Thirdly, person who lived in
small community tended to be a less stress person because goods price was cheap. It means they can
fulfilled their life needs easily

However, there were three disadvantages. Firstly, they were barely could not have any secrets, they
could not have problems without others wanted to know about it. It meant that everyone could knew
everything about other’s problem including the problem that should be a private one. Secondly, they
had lack of knowledge about world’s problems because they hard to get information from outside their
region and they also did not make an effort to get one. Last, they were difficult to accept new things
that came from outside their community even it was a good one, because they were head towards to
their own principal and cultural.

In my opinion, the disadvantages of small community were greater than the advantages. The small
community had strong brotherhood. However, person in small community had no privacy and had lack
of knowledge. Also, they tended to cover themselves from new things.

drawbacks of living in small villages, compared to modern cities.

On the one hand, the facilities of the villages can not be as good as the metropolis’. For example,
modern towns could provide people better healthcare system, education and the state of the art
technology. Therefore; city’s living condition can be much better than the villages. In addition, another
reason that attracts people to live in the city is the job opportunity. There are variety of jobs with
attractive salaries available for commuters to earn for their livings, so people tend to move to big town
more than before.

On the other hand, living and working in the close-knit community has a large number of benefits to the
villagers. For instance, you know people in your hometown quite well, so it is much easier when you ask
for support with problems. Moreover, people will not have to worry about the living cost in small
communities nowadays anymore. Now everything you need for your livings like clothes, groceries… is
cheaper than these in the city, but their quality are nearly the same. Another advantages is that you do
not have to deal with traffic congestions and exhaust fumes released by car like in the city, which is
quite good for your health.

Although living in the small communities has variety of benefits, I highly recommend that it is better for
people to have a better living condition when they live in the city.

Advantages of a Small town

There are a lot of advantages of a small town. First of all, when you live in a small community, you can enjoy a better quality life
than you will find in most large cities. In addition, you can get closer to nature when living in small towns. You will also be able
to avoid the frustration of dealing with large volumes of traffic. You can enjoy hunting or fishing on a regular basis because living
in a small town makes it easier for you to enjoy some of your favourite hobbies. Small communities do not have the same crime
rates as larger cities. Therefore, you can walk down the street feeling safe and secure. People know one another and this can
help to create a tighter sense of community. Finally, one great option for retirement is living in a small town. Therefore, there
are many reasons that tempt people to live in a small town.

Disadvantages of a Small Town

There are several disadvantages of living in a small town. First of all, there are less job opportunities for people in small towns.
People have fewer options in the type of job they want to do. Because of this, many people in small towns move to large cities and
look for jobs in the field they want to work in. Also, small towns are boring to live in. There are not many places such as restaurants,
malls, and museums to visit. In addition, there are only a few shopping malls and markets in small towns. So, people do not have
many choices when they want to buy new clothes, shoes, or electronics. Finally, it is hard to keep your personal life private in small
towns. Everyone wants to know about you and your family. Therefore, if a few people know you, it will not take long before many
other people know about you. If you love excitement, variety, and privacy, living in a small town is not the life for you.
