SCHOOL OF DELIVERANCE

1) DELIVERANCE

Deliverance is in 2 parts:
i) Salvation – where one is set free from bondages of sin
ii) Where one is set free from bondages of life

 Spiritual life is the one which needs salvation where the inner man is born again.
 The devil does not attack your spiritual life but your physical life (which is your
body)
 We become heavenly bound but physically poor because of religious beliefs
(missionaries). It is important to balance both your spiritual and physical life. God
delights in seeing you prosper (Jeremiah 29vs11)
 There are spiritual forces which block your breakthrough
 The devil uses your culture to attack your life e.g the way the devil attacks
Americans is different from the way he attacks Africans.
 Deliverance detaches you from the past and enters you into destiny
 If your foundation is evil you can not prosper.

Deliverance starts with your totem

 Every totem has a spirit behind it, it categories you.
 Deal with the spirit that is behind your surname because every surname carries a
blessing or a curse depending on which scenario it was given.
 Surnames can be given because of character. It then affects everybody because of
that. It is called collective bondage or collective captivity.
 You must have a spirit of a pioneer, speak to these demons.

You must defeat the demons that defeated your father. Start your own life that is
different, there has to be a change.

Deal with demons from your mother’s side. Identify what affects things from your
mother’s side because generational demons cause limitations in your life.

Defeat personalised demons. These are demons that are tailor made for you.
 Identify how they operate.
 When you are born, you are born with 2 angels – 1 good and 1 bad.

When you are married, stand in the gap and fight the demon that affects your spouse so
your marriage can succeed.

Assignment
Study family tree, identify positives and negatives and pray against the negatives.

1
2) THE LAW OF INQUIRY

 When praying for deliverance, you don’t deal with manifestations or observations
e.g sickness.
 You pray against the root or cause of the problem (Gen 25vs22) Rebecca inquired
of the Lord “Why is this happening to me”
 You are a prophet of your own life
 Know the source and close the source e.g when you close water at Morton Jaffrey
 When Jesus rebuked evil spirits, He would direct the cause e.g “you deaf and dump
spirit ….”
 Don’t pray addressing satan, he is not omnipresent but at one place at a time. May
be when you are addressing him, he is not even there.
 Satan uses demons or evil spirits to attach you, so you should know the type of evil
spirit the devil is using to attack you (e.g spirit of poverty) and when you defeat it,
you have defeated the devil himself.
 The devil is only powerful when operating in secrecy but when he is exposed, he
becomes powerless e.g when a solder goes for battle, he does not just start shooting
but when he identifies the enemy, he aims and shoots him thus defeat him.
 So your prayers must not be general but ask God to reveal the source of the problem
and deal with it.
 As long as you remain silent your situation will also remain silent – speak to your
situation.
 Joshua 7vs 1 – Joshua inquired of the Lord and dealt with the particular problem.

How do I inquire of the Lord:

i) acknowledge your situation
ii) confess that you are a child of God who should enjoy the benefits of salvation
according to John 10vs10
iii) tell God your situation as it is
iv) he will give you divine revelation
 You are to enjoy the promises given to our father Abraham
 You deserve attention from God, when you inquire He does not keep quite.
(John 1vs12; Deut 28vs1-14; Gen 12vs1; Rev 5vs10; 2Corinth 11)

Ways that God uses to speak to people (you)

i) vision
ii) trance
iii) dream
 have an understanding that is the bible says “….. and by His stripes I am
healed…..”
 anything that is contrary to the Word of God is abnormal, deal with it.
 God answers or speaks to people in different ways depending on their background
or spiritual maturity.
 A trance is when you are like half awake and half asleep
 Dreaming is when you sleep and your spirit comes out of your body and search in
the spirit world. It returns and feeds your soul (mind) and registers as a dream.
 Your spirit or soul does not sleep.

2
 Job 33vs14-16 says “For God does speak in one way or the other, yet men do not
perceive it. In a dream, in a vision ……….”
 Judges 13

3) DREAMS

 It is a series of thoughts of a sleeping person which are communicated to him/her by

divine agents.
 These dreams could be images or visualisation of events taking place.
 It is not only God who gives you dreams, the devil also comes into your dreams to
affect your life.
 Do not ignore your dreams

Types of dreams that God Uses

i) A Warning Dream – this is a dream that gives you warning of an impending

danger. When something disastrous wants to before you, God does not keep
silent. He gives you a warning so that you can take action against it (Gen
20vs3; Matth 2vs12&22).
ii) An Encouraging Dream – this normally comes to give you an encouragement
or when facing difficult situations in your life (Gen 28vs12; 1King3vs11)
iii) An Instructional Dream – this dream instructs you of what you should do in
order to help yourself, your family or business.
 It also instructs you what to do in order to come out of a specific situation.
 Also instructs you how you should follow the Will of God in your life (Acts
15vs9; Gen 41vs 15; Daniel 2vs 28)

What the devil does to your dream

i) He makes you forget in order for you not to become serious so that you remain
in bondage.
ii) He makes you defeated in your dream so that the said defeat will manifest in
your real life situation because what happens in the spirit also happens in the
natural.
iii) He makes you religious – not to believe in any form of dream that passes
through your life.
iv) He brings some negative dreams and these will bring disaster in every area of
your life.

Types of dreams which the devil uses:

i) Eating in your dreams or drinking – simply means you have been given a
spiritual poison therefore if you don’t rebuke this dream or vomit you will
back slide.
ii) Seeing yourself surrounded with snakes but failing to destroy them or seeing
your house burning or yourself surrounded with fire or dreaming of crocodiles
or being attacked by dogs. These dreams indicate that the devil wants to
endanger both your spiritual and physical life.

3
iii) Dreaming at your rural area or facing a big mountain before you – means the
bondages you are fighting affected your generation (weya unotevera ropa)
iv) You dream being naked or half naked; always at the grave site; putting on a
wedding ring, earrings or bangles; seeing a pool of blood and develop an
appetite to drink it; being pierced by a needle and blood being taken away;
dream being taken incision (nyora) and wake up with incisions; dream eating
meat; going under the sea swimming with sharks. These are not real sharks
but satan himself setting a trap to use you into satanism. All these means you
have been initiated into witchcraft or Satanism or you are being used.

v) Fighting in your dreams; struggling to climb a hill; struggling and failing to

drive a vehicle; playing football but failing to score; failing to fix a problem in
your dreams; failing to come out of a room; struggling to cross a narrow bridge.
All these indicate that your life is full of struggles

vi) Dreaming at a funeral or seeing coffins arraigned means the devil wants to
cause death in your family or anything that you touch with your hands.

vii) Giving someone money – indicates you are being followed or haunted by spirit
of financial poverty and the following will take place in your life: (a)have major
financial problems in your home (b) get into problems that exhaust all your
financial resources that you have attained (c) unnecessary expenses will surface
in your family.

viii) When you wake up in the morning with hair shaven means your glory or
potential has been taken away.

ix) You can miss your underwear, you find it after some time – you have been
placed under a bondage or severe covenant.

x) You dream having sex or getting married to someone whom you can not see;
you are weeding; seeing yourself pregnant; giving birth; breastfeeding;
playing with many children or carrying a heavy child on your back; dream a
short man with beard wanting to have sex with you – All these dreams
indicate that there is a spiritual husband/wife that has been assigned to your
life (weya wechikwambo) Mukwambo in chikaranga means mukuwasha.
The following will start to happen:
(a) you start having marital problems
(b) it hurts intimacy with your spouse
(c) you become uncomfortable with your spouse
(d) you simply do not communicate – marriage is meant to be enjoyed not to be
endured.
(e) You become rude to your spouse
(f) Always desire to divorce
(g) Premarital relationships will end prematurely
(h) Premature death to any of the spouses
(i) If you are single you refuse courtship
(j) Unable to account for your money
The devil doesn’t want you to get married, he wants you to divorce or to live a
life of single parenting.

4
xi) You dream dressing in a school uniform – you are being followed by spirit of
non-development. This means you take years to complete any project you
would have started in life; you always achieve results slowly than desired (a
spirit of tortoise or came lion); you attain results after wasting a lot of resources;
property is destroyed; having products you are not able to sell; not marrying at a
desired age; always loosing money to thieves (customer yema tsotsi); spending
money lavishly (kutenga zvausinga shandise); always repairing old furniture or
electricals (haurase zvinhu).
xii) Dream talking, joking or relating with your dead loved ones – means you
have received a spirit of death in your life. Not meaning you have accepted the
actual death but anything that you do will not prosper e.g going for an interview
you fail; if you are sick it means death is imminent – do not entertain it; it also
brings spirit of rejection.

Things to do every night before you sleep:

i) Read a portion of scripture or follow an ideal bible study

ii) Meditate upon that scripture
iii) Confess every known and unknown sin
iv) Ask ministering angels to guard your life every night
v) Ask God to reveal hidden things in a given area of your life
vi) When you wake up immediately write down every dream while you still
remember
vii) Seek spiritual guidance in the areas concerned
viii) Teach your spirit to be active and alert at all times (1John 4vs4)

4) CURSES

 Implies to evil words that are spoken against individual, couple, family, a nation or
a city.
 Curses can harm life, endanger life, cause unfruitfulness and near misses, premature
death, strongholds and bondages.

How do people receive curses:

(1) Hereditary curse – passed from generation to generation. They follow the
bloodline. They come through sin (Lam. 5vs7; Ezek 16vs44)
(2) Parental curse – many parents curse their children either knowingly or
unknowingly. Any words spoken against you have power especially when
from parents (Prov. 18vs21).
 “You will never make it in life” – you will never accomplish what you
start; you desire divorce; you attain breakthrough after several attempts
in life.
 “You are good for nothing” – you fear to break new grounds; you have
near misses; spirit of rejection; spirit of financial problems.
 “You are a fool” – fear to fail; procrastination; employed but under paid;
unable to work without seeking guidance; see others as if they are better
than yourself.

5
 “I will see where this will take you” – fear to fail; become reserved;
unable to communicate at any level; unable to forecast for the future; do
things slowly and satisfied with results.
(3) Self Inflicting Curse – many people when they are facing difficult
situations in their lives, they start cursing themselves e.g “I wish I was not
born” ; ‘I wish I could die’ ; ‘I don’t think I can make it’ (Job 2vs9). Even
when things are hard, be positive because “in all these things we are more
than conquerors.” Bless yourself even when people curse you (Isaiah 65 vs
16). Learn to speak and reverse the curse – David defeated Goliath by
word of his mouth. God asked Ezekiel to prophecy to the dry bones so that
they may live. You can also prophecy to your dead situation. (Number 13
vs 29-31 ; Prov 6 vs2; Prov 13 vs 3 Prov. 18 vs7; Isaiah 65 vs16)

(4) Tattoo / Cult Drawings – God does not allow you to cut your body for any
reason (Leviticus 9 vs 28; Deut 14 vs 1)

(5) Not Tithing

(6) Not Honouring Parents

(7) Unfulfilled Vows

(8) Keeping Things Offered to Idols – act as an Arial to attract demons

(tsvimbo dzenhaka; machira emudzimu; mvura yemuteuro; mifananidzo)
Lev. 7 vs 26; Zechariah 5 vs 4

(9) Curses Come Through Names – every name given brings blessings or
curses depending on the meaning or circumstances in which it was given
e.g Abram vs Abraham

How do I figure that there is a curse in my life:

i) non development
ii) suicidal thoughts
iii) eating in your dreams
iv) repeated chronic disease
v) spiritual husband/wife
vi) painful long menstrual periods
vii) having children out of wedlock
viii) unable to get married and the following will happen:
- failing to get married at the time of expectation
- postponement of lobola
- one partner becomes ill or has death in the family whilst preparing wedding
- guy gets robbed on the way to pay lobola
- anyone of the in-laws refusing son/daughter to be married resulting in
marriage cancellation
- anyone of the partners just decide to end the relation
- miscarriages
- barrenness when doctors see nothing wrong with both partners
- family breakdown – divorce, separation and single parenting

6
- premature death
- no new openings – every door seems to be closed
- financial crisis leading one to always borrow and fail to pay back.

What to do
 Speak against hereditary curses
 Reverse parental curses
 Self Inflicting Curse – Speak positive
 Tattoo/Cult drawings – confess before God
 Not honouring parents – honour them
 Unfulfilled vows – approach responsible people and cancel the vows
 Idols – bring them to church for burning
 Names – pray against the spirit behind the name

5) OFFERING
 There is no prosperity without offering.
 God set natural laws and spiritual laws.
 Prayer does not substitute giving, where offering is required – make an offering.
 We are children of Abraham by faith, Abraham was a giver.

Why do we give:
i) We give because God does not give us anything of material value without us
giving him something of material value.
ii) We give to show the nurture of God in us. God is a giver and He is the author
of giving (John 3vs16). Love is demonstrated by giving. Prayer without
offering is like building an altar without the alm (sacrifice) – 1King17vs5
iii) We give to express our spiritual maturity (2 Corinth 8vs7)
iv) We give to show accountability to God’s property that He has entrusted in us
(Matthew 25vs19-21). He will give you more when you are trustworthy with
the little.

Types of Offerings

1. Tithe – 10% of anything that you get as income in your life. When formally employed
you give 10% of your gross salary. Tithe is not giving but it is only an act of obedience
and faithfulness to God. It is God’s commandment. When you don’t pay your tithe you
are stealing from God. Failure to tithe is denying the existence of God in your life. Pay
your tithe where you get your spiritual food. Tithe is paid individually and not as a couple.

Benefits of Tithing:
a) God will bring protection to your life (Mal. 3vs7-12)
b) God will create opportunities of success in your life
c) God will release a blessing upon your life (Lev. 27vs30;
Numbers18vs21; Deut 14vs22)

2. First Fruit Offering – you give this to God whenever you get new opportunities in life
e.g new job; promotion; new business. You give first fruit offering being of every new
year. This offering is given directly to your priest/pastor taking care of your spiritual life.

7
He must confer a blessing upon you and this gives assurance of a blessing (Lev. 23vs10-14;
Deut 18vs4; Roman 8vs23)

3. Seed Offering – this is given to God when you want to start new things in life e.g
getting married; new business etc. Seed offering must be named or given a specific
assignment e.g promotion, marriage etc. What you plant is what germinates. There is
power in planting a seed in the Kingdom of God. When planting there is a germination
period, have patience. Your offering can pray for you. Plant a seed whenever you get
divine visitation. It can be in your dreams, through your pastor when e.g preaching (Hosea
8vs7). You must plant a quality seed, something that you will always remember. The
measure that you give will be given unto you e.g when you plant one seed of maize you
reap one comb but when you plant five you reap more (Luke 6vs 38; Eccl 77vs4-6; Psalm
126vs5-6)

4. Personal for Redemption Offering – this is given to God when you have acquired land,
car or property. You give this offering as a counter offering given to demons against your
life. You buy back your potential. You build your altar through that offering which will
then fight against the demonic altar built against you. You give this offering as a child
dedication offering for its protection (Exodus 30vs13-15; Deut 16vs16; Luke 2vs21-24)

5. Free Will/Love Offering – It is you who purports it in your heart. You give this in
every spiritual service that you attend. You give whenever you visit the man of God or
your Pastor. Always give an offering to church no matter how small, there are blessings
that come along with that (Lev. 23vs28; Deut 16vs20)

6. Thanks Giving/Praise Offering – This is given to God when He has done something
for you. You give this to God for the Ministry of your pastor (Lev. 7vs12; Psalm 50vs14;
Psalm 95vs2; 100vs4; Phil 4vs6; 1Timothy4vs3; 1Corinth10vs16)

7. Sacrificial Offering – Normally it is God who demands it from you and God demands
that which costs you. It means He wants to take you to another level of life. He only wants
to test your obedience and faithfulness e.g Abraham & Isaac.

8. Partnership Offering – this is given for the cause of the gospel to support the work of
God (Exodus 35vs1; Numbers 7vs2)

Requirements of Correct Offerings

 It must be the best of its kind (Mal. 1vs14)
 It must be offered willingly (Lev 22vs19)
 It must be offered in righteousness and brought in a clean vessel (you)
 It must be perfect and without blemish
 It must be brought in love and in charity (Matth 5vs23-24)
 It must be brought at a place appointed by God

6) WHY DOES DELIVERANCE TARRY??

1. Lack of Repentance – delays breakthrough.

8
 Christianity is beyond going to church
 Christianity is the way you conduct yourself, it’s a life style.
 Christianity is a kingdom with its own values
i) Every kingdom has language i.e if you are colonised by the devil you
speak his language
ii) Every kingdom has a dress code and every dressing attracts a certain
spirit in your life. The devil is in the business of manufacturing fashion.
Your dressing displays your heart.
 Lack of repentance gives you temporary deliverance
 God does not care about confession but about repentance
 Repentance is an expression of willingness to turn away from the sin, whereas
confession is only a recognition of the nurture of sin and admission of
responsibility.
 Deliverance starts first with your relationship with God

2. Lack of Desperation
 Deliverance does not take place when you are satisfied with your situation e.g
the men who brought down a sick man from the roof to see Jesus
 It starts when you feel pain about your situation e.g woman with the issue of
blood or the blind man.
 Deliverance starts with you
 You need to be expectant – expectation is the building ground for a miracle

3. Wrong Motive
 God does not give you anything that does not benefit His Kingdom either directly
or indirectly
 You must cast away self centred behaviour

4. Unforgiveness
 Spirit of unforgiveness can create bitterness in your life and bitterness is a demon
that hinders your deliverance.
 It creates unresolved pain and guilt
 It also causes hidden and unrecognised damages in your life

5. Failure to Break Occult

This refers to those religions that operate in secrecy or darkness or do not believe in the
bible e.g white garment churches (mapostori); consulting witchdoctors

6. Unbroken soul ties

These are ties normally from your previous relationships. Soul ties can hinder your
marriage breakthrough. Sex is a form of worship either Godly or satanically. If in
marriage, it is Godly and vis versa is true. Sex creates a bond.
 Sin is not only being rebellious to God but also giving a worship service to the
devil. You are blessing Satan ahead of God..
 Sex outside marriage means you have an evil covenant with your sex partner.
 The difference between a contract and a covenant is that a contract expires but a
covenant is permanent. It can only be broken by the blood of Jesus.

9
 After a break-up, your partner carries a part of you – so when the person goes to a
witchdoctor he takes a part of you with him/her.
 Soul ties comes on engagement, it hinders you to have successful marriage after
you separate.
 When spouse is deceased, remove ring of the deceased partner.

7. Failure to Server Binding Soulish Relationships

This means breaking all contacts with controlling person in your life and trust God to re-
establish the relationship with him. Binding soulish relationships normally involves your
relatives or your parents whereby you are so attached to them so much that you are unable
to make person decisions in life without consulting them or without their input. Having
binding soulish relationship can result in manipulation.

How Do You break Soul Ties?

 Take pen and paper and list down all your sexual partners, make a confession
before God and cancel covenants with the blood of Jesus.
 If you have anything belonging to that partner, destroy, give away or return
them.
 Break evil covenants you built before your marriage and build a new foundation

7) FAITH

 Faith is taking action upon God given information

 Faith is being obedient to the word of God
 Faith starts with God it is not your initiative “Looking unto God the author and
finisher of our faith”
 Pray that God speaks to you in your area of need
 When God has spoken it is sealed
 When you act to what God has said, then it is faith
 There is a difference between faith and having a strong desire for something
 Until God answers continue to pray, don’t give up (the persistent widow)
 Sometimes when God speaks, you might face some discouragements but you need
to persevere
 God only shows your destiny, how you get there is up to you – take action.
 When God speaks, people don’t perceive it (Job 33 vs 14)
 How God speaks to your life:
- scripture (Jeremiah 23vs28)
- super natural appearances (Exodus 3vs 7; John 18vs 6)
- face to face (Exodus 33vs11; Deut 5vs4; Gen 3vs9; Gen 22vs11)
- revelation–this is where hidden things are being uncovered (Jeremiah 33vs3)
- through dark speeches – this is communication which is figurative and
requires interpretation and includes parables (Numbers 12vs8; Psalm 49vs4;
Ezekiel 20vs49; Matthew 13vs45)
- audible voice (Acts 9vs4)
- through Angels – they appear in forms e.g human form, in dreams, in the
form of a Man of God (Exodus 3vs2; Gen 32vs24; Acts 10vs3)

10
- through prophets (their life styles should never be condemned )
- a thought / conscience (Job 4vs13)

How do you maintain your deliverance?

1) Live by God’s Word (Matth. 4vs4; Joshua 1vs8)
2) Come under discipline - An indiscipline life is always vulnerable to demonic attack.
Discipline can be seen in 4 ways in your life:
(a) give God regular prime time each day (Daniel 6 from vs 10)
(b) your emotions, desires and appetite must come under control
(c) you must put your tongue under control – Idle words open the way for
demons to enter into one’s life. The control of the tongue is the mark for
spiritual maturity (James 3vs 2)
(d) Submissiveness wherever you go – know that there are authorities above
you
3) Cultivate right fellowship – one of the powerful influence in your life is the people we
associate with. Associate with people who challenge and inspire you (1Corinth 15vs33)
4) Be filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph 5vs18)
 Demons fear the power of God in you (Acts 1vs8)
 Every person has a certain kind of power in him e.g education power, financial
power, status etc
 However, when 2 powers meet one power must submit
 There must be a demonstration of power in your prayers
5) Make sure you passed through water baptism
 Baptism is an outward act of obedience expressing the inward faith of our heart
(Matth 28vs19; Mark 16vs15-17; Acts 2vs38; Romans 6vs1- )
 Baptism means being immensed or completely covered with water.

6) Put on the whole armour of God

 Deliverance is a spiritual warfare and no one goes to war without armour. Your
armouring must be superior to those of the enemy (Eph 6vs13-18)
(a) the belt of truth – love and speak the truth always. Put aside
any form of dishonesty and hypocrisy
(b) the breastplate of righteousness – we must be righteous
always and we must live a righteous life. Righteous
transforms timidity into boldness, doubt into confidence
(Romans 10vs10; Prov 28vs1).
(c) Shoes of preparation of gospel of peace – you must be
available to God at any time at any place to share the gospel
with others and those God put in your way. God protects all
those who are at work in His Kingdom.
(d) Shield of faith – to protect the warrior in the battle field.
(e) Helmet of salvation – to protect the head in dangerous
territories and it is in the head where your mind is. Satan
attacks your mind more than any other part of your
personality therefore your thinking should be firmly based
on the truth of God’s word (Rom. 12vs2; 1Thess 5vs8)
(f) Sword of the Spirit – which is the Word of God. The bible in
your bookshelf can not protect you. The Word of God
becomes sword when you speak it in mouth with faith.

11
When you speak the word of God the spirit provides super
natural power with which to activate it. God is a servant to
His word.

7) Prayer – you can reach out across oceans and continents and strike the forces of satan
wherever they are at work. You can even reach out against satan’s headquarters in the
heavenly. Prayer is your intercontinental ballistic missile.

8) FASTING

This is going for a period of time without taking any food for spiritual purposes. There are
2 types of fasting – (i) partial fasting – refrain taking other types of food whilst taking
others e.g people on medication; pregnant (ii) Absolute fasting – whereby going
completely neither taking food nor drink. Can be a day or day and night etc.

Why do we fast?

(a) because Jesus in His earthly ministries fasted (Matth. 4)

(b) to humble our bodies so that they can be submissive to the
Will of the Spirit (Psalm 35vs13)
(c) sorrow for sin
(d) to show commitment to God

Effects / Benefits
- brings divine guidance (Ezra 8vs38)
- brings divine protection
- brings revival and spiritual growth
- delivers you from powers of darkness and generational bondages (Mark
9vs29)

How do we fast?
- Secret between you and God (Matth. 6vs 16)
- Take that which you were supposed to eat and give to the needy (Isaiah
59vs3-7)
- It’s a sacrificial prayer
- When fasting for material things you break your fasting with an offering to
God.
- Have time of prayer when fasting
