RESUMEN

La investigación tuvo como propósito determinar el nivel de relación que existe entre la gestión

pública ambiental y la conciencia ambiental según Servicios Educativos El Agustino en el Anexo de

Monterrey I, desarrollado en Ate Vitarte, Lima, durante el año 2017.

Se desarrolló dentro del enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básico y nivel de investigación relacional;

se empeló un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal. Los datos fueron recogidos mediante

encuesta personal con visita domiciliaria a una muestra no probabilística (n=50), para lo cual

se diseñó dos instrumentos de medición documental (Gestión pública ambiental y conciencia

ambiental) con tres opciones de respuesta. Los datos fueron analizados con estadísticas

descriptivas y Correlación de Rangos Rho de Spearman.

Se encontró que las actividades desarrolladas por la Gerencia de Gestión Ambiental de la

Municipalidad Distrital de Ate, varían entre regular y malo de acuerdo a la percepción de los

encuestados en las dimensiones planeación, organización, dirección y control; situación

similar ocurre con la conciencia ambiental, donde los encuestados expresaron, basados en su

auto perciben, que su conciencia oscila entre medio a bajo, en las dimensiones cognitiva,

afectiva, proactiva, activa. Sin embargo, se encontró que existe relación significativa entre la

percepción de la gestión pública ambiental, a cargo de la Gerencia de Gestión Ambiental y la

auto percepción de conciencia ambiental por parte de los encuestados (Rho = 0,910; p < 0,05).

Ello supone que las actividades de la mencionada gerencia no son apreciadas por la población

beneficiaria, quienes incluso reconocen no tener alta conciencia para la conservación del

medio ambiente que los rodea.

 Abstract
The purpose of the research was to determine the level of relationship that exists between public

environmental management and environmental awareness according to the Augustinian

Educational Service in the Annex of Monterrey I, developed in Ate, Lima, during the year 2017.

It was developed within the quantitative approach, basic type and level of relational research;

a non-experimental transverse type design was used. The data were collected by means of a

personal survey with home visits to a non-probabilistic sample (n = 50), for which two

documentary measurement instruments were designed (Public environmental management

and environmental awareness) with three response options. The data were analyzed with

descriptive statistics and Spearman's Rho Rank Correlation.

It was found that the activities developed by the Management of Environmental Management

of the District Municipality of Ate, vary between regular and bad according to the perception

of the respondents in the dimensions planning, organization, direction and control; A similar

situation occurs with the environmental conscience, where the respondents expressed, based

on their self perception, that their consciousness oscillates from medium to low, in the

cognitive, affective, proactive, active dimensions. However, it was found that there is a

significant relationship between the perception of environmental public management, by the

Management of Environmental Management and the self-perception of environmental

awareness by respondents (Rho = 0.910, p <0.05). This means that the activities of the

aforementioned management are not appreciated by the beneficiary population, who even

acknowledge that they do not have a high awareness for the conservation of the surrounding

environment.
