Amendments to Notification in Rc No. 89 / Rect. / Admn-1 / 2018 dated 31-05-2018

I – AMENDMENT
The Government of Telangana vide GO Ms No. 62, Home (Legal) Department dated
06-06-2018 have raised the upper age limit prescribed for appointment by direct recruitment
by Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board to various Posts in Police Department,
Disaster Response & Fire Services Department, Prisons & Correctional Services Department
and Special Protection Force by 3 (three) years for the Notifications already issued in 2018
for various categories of the Posts and also subsequent Notifications to be issued till 30-05-
2019 for the purpose of direct recruitment.

In view of the above, the following amendment is given to the Notification issued in
Rc No. 89 / Rect / Admn-1 / 2018 dated 31-05-2018 for the posts of
 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police (Civil) (Men & Women) in
Police Department
 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (AR) (Men &
Women) in Police Department
 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (SAR CPL) (Men)
in Police Department
 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (TSSP) (Men) in
Police Department
 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (TSSP) (Men) in 15th Bn,
TSSP in Police Department
 Station Fire Officer in Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services
Department
 Deputy Jailor in Prisons & Correctional Services Department
 Assistant Matron in Prisons & Correctional Services Department

AMENDMENT

In the said Notification, in place of Para 17 (B), the following is substituted:

B. Age Limit (General)


i. For the Post Code Nos. 11 to 15: Must have attained the age of 21 years and
must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 1st July, 2018 i.e., must have
been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1997.
However, the Government of Telangana vide GO Ms No. 62, Home (Legal)
Department dated 06-06-2018 have raised the upper age limit prescribed for
appointment by direct recruitment by Telangana State Level Police Recruitment
Board to various Posts in Police Department, Disaster Response & Fire Services
Department, Prisons & Correctional Services Department and Special Protection
Force by 3 (three) years. This relaxation is in addition to the upper age limit as
mentioned above.

ii. For the Post Code No. 17: Must have attained the age of 18 years and must not
have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st July, 2018 i.e., must have been born
not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 2000. However, the
Government of Telangana vide GO Ms No. 62, Home (Legal) Department dated
06-06-2018 have raised the upper age limit prescribed for appointment by direct
recruitment by Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board to various Posts
in Police Department, Disaster Response & Fire Services Department, Prisons
& Correctional Services Department and Special Protection Force by 3 (three)
years. This relaxation is in addition to the upper age limit as mentioned above.

iii. For the Post Code No. 18: Must have attained the age of 21 years and must not
have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st July, 2018 i.e., must have been born
not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1997. However, the

06-06-2018 have raised the upper age limit prescribed for appointment by direct

AMENDMENT

In the said Notification, in place of Para 18 (D), the following is substituted:

D) Final Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will
be required to appear in a Final Written Examination having four papers (each of 3 (three)
hours duration) as described below. Syllabus for these Papers is given in Annexure II (B).

1) The minimum marks to be secured by the Candidates in order to qualify in the Final
Written Examination in each paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs / STs /
Ex-Servicemen
2) Papers I and II are qualifying in nature and the marks secured in these Papers i.e., I and II
will not be taken into account for final selection. Those Candidates who do not secure the
minimum qualifying marks in these papers will not be considered further in the selection
process, irrespective of their performance in papers III and IV
3) Part-A of Papers I and II referred to above will be objective in nature and Candidates have
to answer the questions using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only and Part-B of Papers I and II
are descriptive in nature
4) For each question in Part-A of Paper I and II, the Candidate shall be awarded full marks
assigned to the question, if he / she darkened only one bubble that corresponds to the correct
answer. In case the Candidate has not darkened any bubble, the Candidate will be awarded
zero mark for that question. In all other cases, 25% of the full marks shall be awarded as
negative mark for that question
5) In Paper II, the Candidates can choose to have either Telugu or Urdu and should indicate
their choice as and when asked for. Option once exercised will be final and a Candidate will
not be allowed to change it subsequently
6) Questions in Papers III and IV will be objective in nature and will be set in English,
Telugu and Urdu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer
sheet using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose Candidates should bring Blue /
Black Ball Point pens along with them
7) Appearance in all the Tests and Written Examinations, as per rules, is compulsory.
Absence in any of the above Tests / Examination, will automatically render a Candidature
disqualified
8) Mere securing of minimum qualifying marks does not vest any right in a Candidate to be
considered for selection

In the said Notification, in place of Annexure - II (B) Syllabus for Final Written
Examination, Paper I: English and Paper II: Telugu / Urdu, the following is substituted:

PAPER I: ENGLISH
Qualifying Paper in English will be of Matriculation or equivalent standard. Questions
of the standard of SSC / Matriculation seeking to ascertain the Candidate’s knowledge and
language skills will be asked
PART-A: (OBJECTIVE TYPE) (50 QUESTIONS – 25 MARKS – 45 MINUTES)
Usage, Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension and other language skills in the Multiple
Choice Questions Format (with ⅟₄th (25%) negative marks for wrong answers)

PART-B: (DESCRIPTIVE TYPE) (75 MARKS – 2 HOURS 15 MINUTES)


Descriptive Type Questions covering Writing of Precis, Letters / Reports, Essay,
Topical Paragraphs and Reading Comprehension

PAPER II: TELUGU / URDU


Candidates have to choose one of the languages i.e., either Telugu or Urdu and should
indicate their choice as and when asked for by the recruiting authority. Option once exercised
will be final and a candidate will not be allowed to change it subsequently

Qualifying Paper in Telugu or Urdu will be of Matriculation or equivalent standard.

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board invites Applications through
ONLINE mode only in the prescribed proforma which will be made available on Website
(www.tslprb.in) from 8 am on 09-06-2018 to 12 midnight on 30-06-2018 for Direct
Recruitment to the above Posts.
