Create, Register, and Execute Custom APIs

Customers can register their own unique solutions (e.g., loader scripts, extensions, or
BC4J objects) with Oracle iSetup. Customers can leverage standard Oracle tools to
create these artifacts that, in most cases, are very simple to create.

Customers do not have to rely on Oracle to author, deliver, and support a solution that
might be unique to their business. It merits emphasizing that, by registering their
custom solutions with Oracle iSetup, customers receive all of the benefits of the Oracle
iSetup engine (i.e., extract, load, archive, reporting, and logging capabilities).

Creating a Custom Selection Set

Customers can “pick and choose” individual components from different Selection
Sets, and combine them into their own unique Custom Selection Set. The Custom
Selection Set will then be treated just like any standard Selection Set (i.e., extract,
archive, load, and report capabilities), resulting in a faster, more efficient procedure –
tailored to a customer’s unique requirements.
