Methodology
The method of information used to gather information was the interview and observations made
by the researcher. The information was gathered by interviewing some of the employees from
the employees that work in the communication department. Six (6) questions were prepared to
interview the employees. An interview was done because information was easy to compile and
the information gathered was firsthand information.

Regulations
 No Smoking signs were among the first of signs that the researcher saw around the
department.
 All health services and facilities were in perfect working conditions and present in the
organization.
 Sanitation lessons in the form of charts were on the walls portraying how to wash hands
etc.

The business I researches was Banks DIH limited.The business is know nation wide as the
biggest producer of alcholic and non-alcoholic beverages.The reason why this business was
chosen for this topic is that it is quite large and has a lot of employees. Therefore that meant tht
the use of communication would be used a lot.The topic was an investigation into the types of
communication department at

 Banks DIH Limited. Two functions of the communication department in this organisation
are Building relationships with customers and responding to inquiries from the
public.
 Duties in this area include producing newsletters, brochures and other printed materials
designed for the general public.

Some of the problems encountered while carrying out this research were as follows :

 Because of some policies some information were withheld because of the confidentiality
resulting in inadequate data.
 Some employees had hesitated to conduct the interview because of thei heavy work load.
 To reach on the specific date of appointment was hectic because of transportation and the
date inself causing the researcher to miss school.
 Timing of interviewing employees did not coincide with employees.

Some of the findings were as follows :


 The types of communications used were verbal communication , oral communication
,written communication, electronical communication
 Good communication matters at work because few jobs are solo acts. It takes
communication to work on a team, and even people working alone have to report to their
bosses. If you run a business, you have to tell employees what's expected of them. Bad
communication leads to errors, failure and sometimes lawsuits. Effective communication
helps prevent them.
 Good solid organizational communication eliminates barriers; resolve problems and
builds stronger workplace relationships for increased productivity. There are many
potential problems that can be caused by poor communication skills such as increased
amounts of employee turnover, high amounts of call outs, poor customer service skills,
diminished productivity and the lack of focus

Recommendations
 Customizable Work Environments
While some companies have created vibrant and flexible workspaces for the way people
truly think, create and work, it's still not the norm. To attract and retain top performers,

companies need to allow more freedom for out-of-the-box workspaces: standing, pacing,
being messy, telecommuting,napping and even art. Give staff a say in how they work,
and watch their productivity soar.
 Encourage more communication, collaboration, and feedback between departments, as
well as between management and staff. This will liven up the stream of ideas, resulting in
a more productive team overall.
