Pictures that show emotions
Preliminary Activities:
-Prayer
-Reading of reflection of the day
-Checking of attendance
-Review
-Have the students view the pictures that show emotions
and ask them their guess of what the day was for the
person in the picture. Choose the answers that stand out
and emphasize these on the board. Then, ask the
students to come up with fictional series of events or
incidents and write these also on the board.

Explain to the class how their impression of the picture is already
telling a story and describes the details of the story. This will
lead to the discussion of the lesson.
Have the students do the Pre-reading activity: Vocabulary Check.
Then provide the students a copy of an excerpt of the story “The
Day the Dancers Came” by Bienvenido N. Santos.
Have the students do the Post Reading: Vocabulary Check and
comprehension questions.
