Controlling students in the circle time
Time organizing for each part of the lesson
1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
Know and recognize new animals, their shapes, sizes and colors. Remember the book parts such as;
cover page, title, author name, illustrator name where it should be.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
Engage the students before starting the story, and tell the story with making some actions

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
I will know that I am achieving my goal by in the ending of the lesson I will ask them some questions
about the story and what they learn.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

Starting the story with asking them about the title and showing them the parts of the book such as: cover
page, the title, author name. Etc.

Tell them small introduction about the book.


Time: 15 min

Let the students guess what the book about.

Start reading the story with trying to give some actions to engage them.

When I will finish the story, I will explain the activities for them.

Active Engagement (group working with the teacher)

With the plates, papers, and glue the students will going to create their own polar bear. This activity will let
them be creative.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Students will have empty paper and some colors, they will draw the animal that they like it in the story. This
activity will develop their imagination and will let them remember the animals in the story.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)

Students will have papers that include the animals on the story, they will pick one and color it as they like.

Assessment

I will assess the students by asking some questions that related to the story, also by asking them about the book parts.
