Is it enough?

James 2:19, Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils
also believe, and tremble.

Is it enough to believe that God exists? Will it be enough, when the time
comes for us to stand before Him, to say that we believed that He exists?
James said that the devils also believe and tremble. That tells me that it will
not be enough to make it through the pearly gates. The devils won’t make it
through, their destination is already a done deal and nothing will ever change
it and so is ours depending on our decision. Not the decision that we make to
believe if God exists or not but the decision to receive His Son as our Savior
and the decision to make sure that Jesus knows who we are.

Matthew 7:13-24 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in
thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto
life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to
you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall
know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of
thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can
a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good
fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall
know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I
never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

It would be a tragedy to spend a large portion of our lives working for the
Lord, and then when we stand before Him, to have Him say that He
“NEVER” knew us. This scripture has been on my mind for such a long
time and it puts an urgency in me that is so strong. How could people [we]
who are working in the ministry be workers of iniquity? It is scary to think
that it is possible for that to happen but Jesus said that it will. I don’t want to
be that person. It is not be enough to just believe in God, we must live like
we believe that God really exists and have the fear and reverence that proves
that we do.

Matthew 7:24-27, Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and

doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a
rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And
every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be
likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the
rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that
house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

We must hear what Jesus is saying, do what He says, and be like the wise
man that built his house on a rock, “THE ROCK” Christ Jesus.

So many ministers are falling and great is their fall because they have built
huge churches with thousands of members, yet something is not quite right
so they are falling. Will Jesus say that He never knew them?

Luke 6:46, And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I
say?
Why are some of us calling Jesus Lord and then not doing what He said for
us to do? Sure He is our Lord when we need something, when we are
between a rock and a hard place, but is He “REALLY” the Lord of our life. I
am not saying that “YOU” are doing that. I am bringing this to your
attention so “YOU” can make sure that “YOU” are not doing this.
Sometimes people are not really aware of what they are doing and they are
not aware of who they “REALLY” are. It is very easy to get caught up in
ourselves and the things of this world and forget all about the one who
created the world.

We can’t really point out people’s faults and change anything. Preachers
preach, teachers teach, but if God doesn’t open up their eyes they will never
see. That really does discourage me and many times it brings depression but
I have to shake it off, cowboy up, and go on. I will not be discouraged to the
point of quitting.

What we have to do is never cease to pray, in fact, this present time that we
live in “ARE” the last days. We are running out of time for ministry, for
gathering the harvest. We must use our time wisely, instead of wasting our
time trying to get all we can, enjoying our lives, and ignoring what is really
happening around us. Just because we ignore something doesn’t make it go
away.
It really isn’t enough to believe that there is a God but it is defiantly a start.
That alone gives us something to work with.
