Course Objectives: This Paper will deal with the basic principles of
Criminal Law determining criminal liability and
punishment.

Learning Activities / Pedagogy (strategies to engage students in active learning)

The pedagogy would involve group discussions , presentations, judgement analysis and
debates to familiarize the students with the key principles of criminal liability as
incorporated in IPC and to generate critical thinking among the students about the
objectives of criminal law and enable them to scrutinize the recent development and
changes that have taken place in the field.
Assessment: Total Internal Assessment = 25 Marks
A. One Internal Exam = 10 Marks
B. Attendance / Class Participation = 5 Marks
C. PSDA= 10 marks
