Contitherm CPG 5A burner capacity is 800 nm3/hr --- air requirement is = 640

cfm per burner = for 11 burners = 7040 cfm

Contitherm CPG 4A burner capacity is 600 nm3/hr – air requirement is = 480

cfm per burner= for 7 burners = 3360 cfm

Total air required for good combustion = 10400 cfm

For getting sufficient pressure at burner all the pipe line should be filled with
air to build back pressure . For this we may have to add 20% of the actual
requirement . Therefore minimum air requirement is 12480 CFM .

Therefore the blower model required is CONTTITHERM BLOWER MODEL CHP

40 -100 -14000.

We are proposing 11 nos.- 5A and 7 nos. - 4A burners. What should be the

capacity of combustion blower should be recommended. Please give the
workout and justification for the same.
Capacity of Contitherm Producer gas burners are as follows

1. Contitherm Producer gas burner model CPG5A with 150 MM gas port is 800
nm3/ hr of producer gas

2. Contitherm Producer gas burner model CPG 4A with 100 MM gas port is
600 nm3/ hr of producer gas

3. Contitherm producer gas burner model CPG 3A with 75 MM gas port is 350
nm3/hr of producer gas

Combustion air capacity for the above burners

1. Contitherm producer gas burner model CPG 5A ------ 640 cfm of air or 1097
nm3/hr of air per burner

2. Contitherm producer gas burner model CPG 4A --- 470 cfm of air or 805
nm3/hr of air per burner .

3. Contitherm producer gas burner model CPG 3A --- 280 cfm of air or 480
nm3/hr of air per burner

IMPORTANT NOTE ; FOR BLOWER SELECTION PLEASE ADD 20% MORE for air
line back pressure and air line losses .

Continental is also manufacturing CPG 4A burners with 150 MM gas port --- the
capacity of this special burner is 700 nm3/hr --- combustion air required is 560
cfm or 960 nm3/hr

WE are also now manufacturing refractory lined burners suitable for pre
heated combustion air up to 600 deg C.
