SECTION A – INFORMATION TRANSFER

 Read and understand the instructions and then, the given details
 Read the given text to be completed
 Try to identify the information to be transferred
 Look at the given clues when identifying
 Write neatly and correctly. Pay attention to Pp, Mm, Ss, Kk, Cc, Tt, Ff
 Answer must be accurate – spelling, writing, capital / small letters, hyphens, commas, etc.
 Do not use numerals in your answer. Write the numbers in words. (numerals = numbers)
 Reread the text after completing it to make sure the blanks are filled correctly
SECTION B (i)

 Read the instructions carefully. Understand them.


 Study the linear / non linear text
 Read the given information given carefully. Understand it.
 Reread, if necessary.
 Read and understand what you are required to list in (i). Identify the keyword(s).
 Look back the text and reread the information given for clues.
 Complete the exercise
 Check your work

SECTION B (i)

 Read and understand the instructions.


 Study the given linear / non-linear text.
 Read and understand the instructions at the bottom. Look for keywords in the instructions.
 Pay attention to the NUMBER OF WORDS. Your answer should NOT exceed the given limit.
 Write correct the email addresses.
 Write the email to the person stated in the instructions, paying attention to the content
required and the number of words
 Count the number of words written. Write in brackets at the bottom right of your answer.
eg. (78 words)
 Check your work.
SECTION C

QUESTION 1

 Read and understand the instructions.


 Look for keywords in the instructions.
 Pay attention to the NUMBER OF WORDS. Your answer should NOT exceed the given limit.
 Study the picture given carefully. Ask yourself questions about the picture.
eg. Where is the cat?

Who is sweeping the floor?

What is on the coffee table?

 Go through the given words.


 Think of how you can make sentences with the given words based on the given picture. You
may want to relate the words to the activities. You can circle the activity and draw an arrow
to the word to link it as not to forget, if you wish.
 Read the beginning of the story you are supposed to start your story with. Think of how you
can write the story based on it.
 Write the CORRECT question number at the top of the page before you start with your
essay.
 Start writing, paying attention to the picture, given words and number of words you are
supposed to write.
 Check your work.
 Count the number of words written and write the number in brackets at the bottom right of
your answer. eg. (98 words)

 Read and understand the instruction. Circle the keywords, if any.


 Pay attention to the NUMBER OF WORDS. Your answer should NOT EXCEED the given
limit.
 Study the given pictures. Relate one picture to the other.
 Go through the given words. Relate one word to the other and the picture.
 Identify the tense to be used. (Usually the past tense in this section)
 Write the CORRECT question number at the top of the page before you start with your
essay.
 Start by using the adverb of time. eg: Last week, Yesterday, Last month, etc.
 Start with an introduction, then the content and later, the conclusion.
 Write an interesting description of the pictures. Add new words that are relevant to the
story to be written, as far as possible. Give the characters in the pictures names.
 Do not mix your tenses.
 Do not use contractions
 Try to add your own ideas to make your piece of work more interesting, if possible, but
do not exceed the number of words to be written
 You can sequence the events with Then, After that, The next day, etc.
 Usage of adverbs, adjectives, collective nouns, similes, proverbs and idioms is
encouraged.
