Students will learn to analyze the principles of art using the materials of charcoal or graphite and how it portrays themselves with a theme or inner
thoughts about the individual. It’s also important that while students work on the portrait drawing looks like the artist who draw it. Additionally,

Unit Summary:

Lesson Activities:
Students will be learning how to draw faces in different perspective to get the best angels. By practicing on
drawing building, students will get to understand how to use perspective line and alignments.
Assignments
Students will be drawing two different projects, project 1 will be focusing on how to draw still life or real-life
environments with perspective. Project 2 will be having students using their knowledge of perspective to draw
their own environments.
Lesson Activities:
Reviewing Lecture
Picasso will be the lesson were the students will be talking about. Using the links from the website, students will
be exploring the career path of Picasso and what type of works he done in the past. This will also be a good
introduction to draw faces as some of Picasso’s portrait drawing are very geometric and at time not to realistic.
There will be three drawing assignments for students to complete once finishing answering all of the Picasso
questions.

This web-quest will help you to introduce to Picasso's life and artwork. For those who cannot think of an idea on
how to create you theme, this will be a good challenge as well as a good learning experience to engage with your
looks and ideas. It will also help artist to learn how to build up your profile and knowledge into the art industry.
