Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Ltd. and The Tokio Marine & Fire Insurance Co.
Ltd., Japan. Company’s Head office is in Gurgaon.

Senior Manager – Underwriting (Underwriting Hub- Non-Motor Insurance

Deptt.) – Joined the company in April, 2005 as Manager- got promotion as
Senior Manager from April, 2007

All the insurance underwriting process/approvals/policy documents issuance of

Delhi, Haryana & U.P. Commercial office/ Retail office are managing from the
UW hub, Delhi only.

Area of Responsibilities

 Commercial/ Retail underwriting – All non-motor insurance like fire, marine,

misc. insurance etc.
 Scrutiny of proposals
 Approval of Rates for marine, GMP etc.
 Co-ordination with marketing team in preparing Quotes for large risk under
Fire & Project Insurance.
 Interaction with franchises regarding approval of premium rates for non-tariff

 Training to the agents, franchises, brokers etc.
 Product wise training to our staff on regular basis.
Achievements

• With good control & prudent underwriting, the Marine insurance NILR in
Delhi Retail is drastically reduced to 52% (2005-06) & 49% (2006-07)
from 88% in 2004-05
• Have started the non-motor underwriting in UW hub from initial stage
and now the department is fully organized and automated. The TAT of
policy issuance and the quality of underwriting is drastically improved.
