Heffler, Radetich & Saitta, LLP is considering candidates for Senior Auditor within its Audit and
Assurance Practice. This individual will be responsible for the overall planning, administration
and execution of assigned attest engagements and will serve as a liaison between client
personnel and the engagement partner or manager. Additionally, limited assistance within the
firm’s tax practice may be required during peak times.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops budgets and analyzes time incurred in comparison to the time budgeted.
Oversight and development of other auditors assigned to engagements providing
guidance and feedback on performance (formal and informal).
Communicates assigned tasks to engagement team member(s) in a manner that is clear
and concise and ensures high quality, accurate and efficient results.
Conducts assigned attest engagements successfully from beginning to end (i.e. planning,
fieldwork and reporting phases).
Identifies and communicates issues noted, offering recommended solutions supported
by relevant technical guidance.
Ensures conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the client’s processes
and risk assessments (if applicable). Evidence supporting such conclusions is well
documented.
Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to the risk assessment and
test objectives of each significant audit area.
Ensures adherence to all applicable firm and professional standards.
Manages multiple clients in an organized fashion allowing for efficient status updates
when necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to apply attestation standards through practical application.
Proactive in researching accounting matters.
Solid listening skills and ability to identify gaps in logic – inquisitive. Proactive in asking
clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed wholly toward desired outcome.
Strong organization and follow up skills, including the ability to handle competing
priorities while meeting all deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and ensure successful results.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to identify issues, the cause of such and facilitate communications in a proactive
manner to avoid surprises.
Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
CPA designation preferred, but not required.
At least 2 years or more of audit experience.
