Common Adjectives and Antonyms

The following is a list of some of the most common adjectives in English.

Task 1
Match up the adjectives in the column on the left with their opposites. Score out the word on the right and write it beside
its antonym. The first one is done for you. Note that sometimes words may be repeated. One of the words in the second
list doesn’t have an opposite.
Task 2
Write one sentence for each pair of adjectives. Alternatively write one sentence for each of the adjectives you don’t
recognise. Try to make your sentence as personal as possible as this will help you remember the vocabulary.
