SIP Goals/Objectives: Teachers will learn how to use culturally responsive teaching as a tool to help dependent learners develop the cognitive skills
or higher order thinking and provide multiple opportunities throughout the day to engage in explicit vocabulary instruction in order to increase
comprehension of text in reading and math.
Media Center Objective: Integrate Information Literacy skills and culturally responsive resources to create a positive literacy experience.
Research Strategy: Students will use the Media Center to extend their academic achievement in all subject areas by working on content related
projects or assignments with using information texts and literature that are culturally inclusive to enhance curriculum goals.
