PIPELINE AIR VALVE SCHEDULE:

Station Elevation Description Recommended Valve Size/Model Flow Rate
M M CFS

0 0 Beginning of Pipeline No valve necessary 0.00

652 652 Decrease in Up Slope 8 IN #108SS Air/Vac Reg-Ex 0.11
1091 832 High Point 12 IN #112FSS/45 Surge-Suppression 0.28
1573 434 * Long Descent 10 IN #110FSS/45 Surge-Suppression 0.14
2056 36 Low Point No valve necessary 0.28
2535 546 High Point 20 IN #120FSS/45 Surge-Suppression 0.70
3060 3318 End No valve necessary 0.70
(*) These Stations were added because the segment length exceeded 2500 ft. (762 M)

1) The flow rate is the line-break flow in the adjecent line. At changes in the upslope or downslope, the flow rate is computed by subtracting the flow rate in the feeding leg from
the flow rate in the lower leg. For long ascents and descents, the flow rate is one half of the line-break flow.

2) Air release valve model numbers are for full size connections; smaller connections are available.

3) In accordance with State EPA requirements, all potable water air valves must be ANSI/NSF 61 Certified.

4) Stations are added as needed (i.e. 1600) to provide a maximum spacing of 2500 ft (760 M).

NOTES

The project has been pre-determined to illustrate the AirValve program functionality.
