ACTIVITY LOG
June 6, 2018
This was the first day of my On-The-Job Training and I remembered that I was feeling a bit
nervous. But eventually, it went away because the environment of the office was calm and
welcoming. Our boss asked me to get the mark up rates and the insurance policies encoded in
the SLASCO Contract agreement with their clients like PHILBEST and RDFISHING. I also was
tasked to make a “Statement of Financial Performance”. I also learned how to make a tax return
using the offline BIR Website.
June 7, 2018
I went to different clients like GES-FDX to get their monthly expenses bills and BIR returns. I also
have gone to Jeremey’s Corner to fetch documents in order for them to be registered again in
DTI. I also learned how to fill out an RCBC form to pay PhilHealth Expenses and such.
June 8, 2018
I started examining audited financial statements and how it is made.
June 9,2018
I was excited this day because I have to audit a company’s records (SLASCO), even though it’s
a Saturday. I observed how to audit again and eventually got the hang of it. Checking the gross
collection, finding the mark up rate if it wrong or right. And this was also the day my co- ojt’s had
their first day because of the urgency of having the records be audited on time.
June 11, 2018
Along with co-ojt’s, we paid the client’s respective BIR returns and this was the time a taught my
co ojt how to fill out a payment form in Landbank.
June 13-14, 2018
Still on the process of auditing SLASCO’s collection records
June 18-22, 2018
After auditing the SLASCO Collection Records, we started auditing their disbursements and
vouchers. We appreciate this part of auditing because some vouchers have no journal entries
and we were the ones who are going to make the entries and have them encoded in Microsoft
Excel for consolidation purposes on the later part of our ojt.
June 25, 2018
This day was like a rest day for us after we audited the records of SLASCO. one of our bosses is
a beauty consultant of MARY KAY PRODUCTS and we were treated with a pampering session.
June 26-27, 2018
Paid at Landbank for other client’s returns. Returns like OPT and Withholding Expanded.
June 29, 2018
We attended a seminar in Landbank about having the over the counter payment on some BIR
returns should be filed on their online website starting July 16,2018 the next month.
July 2-5, 2018
This week we went to different clients like Soto Realty Services and Jeremy’s Corner to fetch their
records and documents. We also went to BIR to get new forms.
July 9-13, 2018
I went to the law firm of Cahayag to get the audited financial statements approved by the lawyer.
We also went to the Heritage Academy, also a client of the company we’re working in to get their
By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation and also collected the fee charged by Antonio Accounting
Services.
July 16-19, 2018
As usual, I paid at RCBC for the PhilHealth Contribution of some clients and also of the
contribution of the office itself. I also paid at Landbank along with my co ojt’s and had to photocopy
the audited financial statements of a client. We were tasked at the later part of the week to arrange
the receipts of a client by year and record them on a columnar notebook by month and calculate
the outstanding balances each month. I also had to be excused for 1 day this week because I had
to prepare for the PICPA Quizbowl the next day.
July 23, 2018
Paid at Landbank and RCBC.
July 27, 2018.
It was a Friday and the last day of our ojt. We celebrated by treating our bosses with a lunch
(Palabok and bread). We gathered data about Antonio Accounting Services to be included in the
compilation. Though time passed by so fast, memories were made with our bosses and had a fun
time doing all the accounting works they have given to us.
