PURPOSE OF PROJECT CHARTER

We need project charter to document how the project will be planned, executed, monitored/controlled,
and closed.
To describe the process of work performance defined in the project management plan in order to achieve
the project’s objectives.
To track the project as per the predefined charter.

OBJECTIVE: To collaborate with sponsors and help increase mass awareness for education of youth by
organizing SOIL marathon

PROBLEM STATEMENT: To increase the visibility and gather funds for Soil NGO by organizing a
marathon.

BUSINESS CASE: To raise funds, to be used for sponsoring the enhancement of the NGO

TIMELINE: Two months in total for planning and deployment starting 10th October to 4th December
2018

SCOPE: Reviewing current sponsors and collaborations and working on adding and building new
relationships with corporates, businesses and people
