World literature is for students today for them to learn stories and perspectives of
different people from different cultures. World literature is the stories written by people with
firsthand experiences or about someone’s experiences and even interpretations of the world
around them from their perspective, a great Quote comes to mind when thinking about literatures
ability to teach us “Just as real events and their real participants move us to anger, to tears, to
laughter or to insight, literature can accomplish the same.”(Breitman, 5) and to me this explains a

“My grandparents were refugees at the time of partition in India… They worded hard to earn
money… so that my parents would have a better chance at life” (Aditi, 5) this story was about
how Aditi’s culture had affected him and his family making them move and how moving
affected him also so there’s his view and what’s a better way to understand the challenges of a

I think world literature would affect me by giving me a more outward perspective of the
personal and cultural differences and similarities to my own experiences in life, expressed
through my words and actions towards other people soon because literature is important to me. I
think that my perspective of people is good but literature will help me grow to be better than just
good to make it great by helping me to grow more to accept more people and there beliefs not
