1. Requirements  
The topic may require you to search for resources and references in library and on internet in addition to the knowledge you
acquired from this CE5610B course. Your ability to raise important issues, analyse them, and suggest solutions is important.
There is no “model” for the assignment. However, your submission will be assessed based on how well you are able to convince
the client that your proposed repair strategies & future recommendations can address the problem with minimal interruption

‐ your plan for inspection and evaluation comments on laboratory and field tests can provide adequate information for the
assessment of the structure;

‐ your proposed repair strategies can address the problems identified so that the structure is likely to reach its intended
service life; Issues you have considered for the proposed repair strategies;

‐ recommendations for routine maintenance after the repairs;  

Proper referencing is important. Give due credit to the information and analysis from sources which you may refer to from
literature and internet. Reference slides are to be provided. Each student is required to submit his/her own presentation.

2. Submission  
You are required to submit your presentation in a self‐explanatory “PowerPoint” presentation file of not more than 20 slides
(excluding reference slides) (font size for text should not be less than 18 points for presentation). The file should be named in a
format of “student name‐matriculation number”. The assignment is to be submitted in a softcopy in “ppt” & “pdf” format
through IVLE in CE 5610B in a folder named <student submission 1> no later than 13 Nov 2018 (time 2359).
