- In this documentary video presentation, clips discussing and examining the
sewerage system of Adamson University are shown. All of the clips are compiled
as a pre-requisite course requirement to Analytical Chemistry II.

III. Chronological Presentation

a. Introduction
i. What are the immediate problems that need addressing?
ii. Discuss terminologies.
iii. Talk about the affected community.
iv. Examine and determine the particular addressable problem (e.g. presence
of Na+ ions, acidity, etc.)
b. Focusing on the Problem
i. Application of key knowledge learned in class.
ii. Which ions govern the problem of concern?
iii. Determine which out of the analytical methods can be used to effectively
determine amounts of such.
iv. Specify only one method of most effectiveness.
v. Take a video of a properly followed laboratory procedure upon
determination.
vi. Note the importance of the result.
c. Solution
i. Research available methods in mitigating the problem.
ii. Show how to properly spread awareness and encourage cooperation.
iii. Show some examples of sewerage systems that have been properly
mitigated and show the result.

b. Introduction
Metro Manila, a developing urban city known for its rich history and
diversity, also is infamously known for its slum, polluted areas that are prolific at
the edges. In the heart of this metro, Adamson University stays. Although, almost
daily, Falcons, as they call the University’s students, pass along the __ river
through the CS Walkway, what they don’t know and might not want to know is
that the strong pungent scent that has always bothered them is an effect of a
long-standing ineffective treatment of the University’s own sewerage system, as
well as the improper water treatment from uptown.
Many an instance, solutions had been thought of and tried to ease this
problem; however, these proved insufficient as the seemingly powerful smell the
students have to breathe every single day had not faded away – even just for a
bit.
