mirrored sunglasses,
Original High Contrast lenses
There is a lot of history centered around the rose smoke lens. It was devel-
oped early in World War 2 for bomber pilots who needed a lens to increase
the contrast so they could see enemy aircraft coming at them easier, and a
lens that would filter enough blue light to penetrate haze and smoke better
so it would be easier to spot ground targets. The rose smoke filled the bill.
In fact, when we went in business in 1967 it was the first lens we offered.
It was the leading contrast producing lens until the Kontraster came along,
the rose smoke still holds its' own in spite of the fact that it does alter colors
on the rose colored side.

Replacement parts
Ray-Ban “Frames only”
for replacement parts, Rx use,

Due to the manufacturer's pricing policies there
are no price breaks for us buying “frames only”,
therefore we can offer no discounts for “frame

If you need a frame only for prescription use (which
we don't recommend) the price of the frame will
be the same price as the complete sunglass. The
same goes for custom-made sunglasses that
require other lenses.
