Derecho administrativo

El derecho administrativo (del latín ad "junto a", y ministrare, "manejar las cosas comunes")
es aquella rama del derecho público que regula la administración pública, la función
administrativa y la relación entre los particulares; asimismo, comprende el conjunto de casos
reales que regulan la organización, funcionamiento, poderes y deberes de la Administración
pública en sus relaciones con otros sujetos.
En otras palabras, el derecho administrativo es aquel que comprende la organización y el
funcionamiento de toda forma de administración pública.
Por extensión, suele ser también aplicable a la actuación materialmente administrativa de los
demás poderes del Estado y de todos esos entes del sector público.
Y todo ello, desde la doble perspectiva de procurar la eficacia de las Administraciones pero
también garantizar los derechos de los particulares en sus relaciones con ellas.
Tradicionalmente, se ha entendido que la administración es una subfunción del
desarrollo humano, encargada del buen funcionamiento de los servicios públicos cuya función
elemental es la de mantener el bienestar, la seguridad y de entregar a la población diversas
labores de diversa índole (económicas, educativas, sociales, entre otros).

Administrative law

Administrative law (from Latin ad "together with", and ministrare, "handle common things") is
that branch of public law that regulates public administration, the administrative function, and the
relationship between individuals; likewise, it includes the set of real cases that regulate the
organization, operation, powers and duties of the Public Administration in its relations with other
subjects.

In other words, administrative law is one that includes the organization and functioning of all
forms of public administration.

By extension, it is also applicable to the materially administrative action of the other powers of the
State and of all those entities of the public sector.

And all this, from the double perspective of seeking the efficiency of the Administrations but also
guaranteeing the rights of individuals in their relations with them.

Traditionally, it has been understood that the administration is a subfunction of human

development, responsible for the proper functioning of public services whose basic function is to
maintain welfare, security and deliver to the population various tasks of various kinds (economic,
educational , social, among others).
