ACTIVITY 1 WARM-UP
AIMS:
 to get SS involved into the topic
 to revise vocabulary related to physical appearance

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


T asks Ss several questions about weather and their T-S 10 min
mood.She ,then ,reminds them that they have had a homework Frontal
related to descriptions and asks a spoke person from each Speaking
group(from the previous class) to read their work .The others
may or may not agree with the group’s description.

ACTIVITY 2
AIMS:
 to practice adjective word order
PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
T writes the examples from the SB in jumbled order on the BB T-S 10 min
and gives SS cards .In groups SS put the cards in the right S-S
order .SS have to make sentences with the adjectives. Then Pair work
they go to exercise 10 page 79 from their textbook and ,in pairs Group work
,put the adjectives in the correct order to describe each item .T Writing
goes through the first item with the whole class and then
checks their answers.

AIMS

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


SS read the example in the SB and complete the sentences in S-S 10 min
MAKE RULES.T elicits the answers from the whole class.In Pair work
pairs ,SS complete the answers from the SB(exercise 11,page Writing
79).T checks the answers with the whole class.

ACTIVITY 4
AIMS:
 to practice personality and mood adjectives
 to practice vocabulary related to physical appearance
 to practice opposites
PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
In pairs ,SS match the adjectives with their opposites (exercise S-S 10 min
12,page 80). Speaking
T gives each student a card .The student reads his adjective from Writing
the card aloud and the one that has its opposite reads his own.(the
cards are provided with the meaning and translation)

T writes the headings from Communication on the BB: S-S 10 min
1. Asking about personality Writing
2. Giving opinions about personality Speaking
3. Asking about specific mood
4. Commenting on mood
In small groups ,SS brainstorm other phrases they know which
fit each category elicits example from the class correcting when
necessary.
T discusses with the whole class about one of the picture from
exercise 13 page 80 SB .

HOMEWORK:Describe in a few lines the moods of the people from exercise 13 page 80.
