portfolio assessment, students are advanced to candidacy and enroll in EDUC 998.

PROGRAM RATIONALE (please review the Program Guidelines for directions):

Following the proposed Program of Studies (POS) is important for my development as a doctoral
student in three ways:
1. It will further my knowledge of special education, and how to help my field as a
professional.
2. It will solidify my knowledge on qualitative research methodology.
3. It will expand my area of knowledge further into anthropology and other social sciences
that inform should inform special education when dealing with students of different
backgrounds.
