Supporting ELL Students with Graphic Organizers
- They are able to see their thoughts and ideas in an
organized and visual way.
- Students are referring too and pulling facts from a piece
of text or academic source that they have gone over in
class.
- Vocabulary is written down with possible visuals for
guidance.
- Students are able to refer back to their graphic
organizer as a tool or aid for future activities.
Graphic Organizer

- A Graphic Organizer is a visual tool that is used to

express and chart knowledge, thoughts or concepts.
- Graphic Organizers aid students in learning because they
are able to document their thoughts on a text, photograph
or object and see the possible similarities, differences
or timeline on their academic piece.
- They are important in aiding students thinking because
they are a tool they can refer back too and put their
ideas visually down on a piece of paper.
