Pair groups of students so to organize those that need help with presenting or speaking to the
whole class.

For this assignment you will explore the impact of the Industrial Revolution and describe how it
relates to the expansion of globalization.

Your research should include:


● a brief discussion of the Industrial Revolution
● how the Industrial Revolution was positive
● how the Industrial Revolution was negative
● a biography of an important inventor during this era
● a key invention that was instrumental in transforming society
● a political cartoon that relates to this era - explain its significance
● an explanation of the role the Industrial Revolution in promoting globalization

The format of your project should be like a book attractive to children - this will require you to
effectively summarize your research and express it in a creative and engaging way. Your book
can either be hard copy, or digital (please note: PowerPoint does not make a book).

In your book be sure to include:


● a title page and back cover
● engaging images on each page
● quotes from individuals (historical or current) that enhance your information
