ElsaWin | Introduction 3

1 Introduction
As part of the HoAS (House of After Sales) project, measures to stabilise
and improve the performance of HoAS applications were defined for 2011.
Among these measures is the migration of HoAS applications to Windows 7
and Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

One work package for this aspect of the project is concerned with choosing
an SVG plugin for IE8, as SVG files in the "current flow diagrams" part of the
application ElsaPro must be displayed in the frontend/browser. Since
Internet Explorer 8 does not offer native SVG support and cannot display
these SVG files, it is necessary to use a plugin that can fulfil this function.

In order to properly display and work with the current flow diagrams and
repair manuals in ElsaWin, ElsaPro and ElsaWeb, the SVG plugin Adobe
SVG 3.0.3 is required.

This document describes the installation process of the Adobe SVG 3.0.3
plugin for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
