Admin Serafica Attends the 38th USPD General Assembly in Davao City

The United Sugarcane Planters of Davao (USPD) successfully conducted its 38th Annual General Assembly
with the theme “Upgraded Technology for a Sustainable Sugarcane Production” at the Arita USPD
Business Center, Rizal Avenue, Digos City, Davao del Sur on March 3, 2018.

They invited Administrator Serafica to be their keynote speaker and to share his thoughts on the
pertinent issues surrounding the sugarcane industry.

In his speech, the SRA administrator shared although there are many challenges in the sugarcane
industry, it has remained strong with the cooperation of its stakeholders.

He is confident that it will only grow even stronger as long as everyone works well together.

He reassured everyone that SRA is doing its best to address all issues and concerns and for as long as he
is the administrator, he will continue to fight for what is best for everyone because he considers the
sugarcane industry his life having been given the opportunity to work first-hand as a sugarcane farmer.

USPD is known as a multi-awarded savings and credit cooperative that started as the savings and credit
department of the USPD Multi-purpose Cooperative (MPC), an agricultural multi-purpose cooperative
established in 1991.

The cooperative and its partners continue to implement programs for the benefit of the members.
It also carries out scholarship program to qualified children of members; and has already produced
college and vocational graduates from universities and colleges in Mindanao.

The commitment of the officers, staff and members to USPD Savings and Credit Cooperative has
enabled it to maintain the quality of service it has nurtured through the years.
