Now that the students have read the article
they should go back to the article in pairs of
two and highlight his disability, hardships
and some obstacles he faced throughout his
life and career.

opinions on what they have
just saw, read, and

Anticipated Problems & Suggested Solutions:

No access to the computer, projector, or internet – ask students to pull out their phones and play the video
themselves OR play a song by Ray Charles without video.

Contingency Plans (what you will do if you finish early, etc.):

Watch another video of Ray Charles and ask what they like about ray’s music.
Are there any other artists or successful that they like who have a disability?
