The thought of God and who He is have fascinated both scholars and laymen for thousands of

years already. Religion has taught us to believe that there is a higher being responsible for all of
us and all that is happening. Religion is after all, man-made. Does that make our belief in God
man-made? This essay would like to prove the existence of a supreme being, I dare say this is a
bold move, as this discussion would only be limited to our minuscule comprehension of the
great all-knowing. However, we can always try.

The entire universe is one concrete proof of God’s existence. I find the unlikeliness of us just
being an accident, a compression of dust and gas that suddenly exploded in a bang and voila!
Here we are, lucky and alive. Have we been just an accident? What prevents us from being
burned if our planet was way too close to the sun or what prevents us from coming to existence
if we’re too far from it. I am convinced to say that God is the elaborate designer of the entire
universe. Everything is just so perfect. So perfect that it is impossible that it is all just an
accident. There is an intelligent being behind the design from the grand scheme of things, up to
the tiniest details such as our very own DNA. Now, when we talk about DNA or
deoxyribonucleic acid, which is the genetic information encoded in the cells of living organisms
that instruct ourselves how to grow and how to function, it determines on what the color of our
skin should be, our hair and the color of our eyes. Such complex engineering of how things
works and how nature works suggests that there is an intelligent mind behind the scheme. This
couldn’t just be all because we got lucky, no. This is the works of the beautiful hands of our
creator who is the God of all things.
