City life
The University of Portsmouth is one of the few UK universities that has the luxury of being in a coastal location with a city-orientated vibe.
There are both ample history sites (particularly maritime-based attractions) as well as modern high streets for shopping and socialising, as well as opportunities to
visit the beach, local art galleries and more. Portsmouth also has the advantage of being flat, which is a great feature for keen cyclists who’d prefer to travel the city
by bike.
By night, there are plenty of gigs, bars, restaurants and clubs to take advantage of, with plenty of student-orientated nights going on throughout the week.
