Subject Title: CURRENT ISSUES AND TRENDS IN HEALTH SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

Credit Units: 3.0

Course Description: This is a 3 unit course that deals with current issues and trends in
the health care delivery system which include patient safety and quality care, workforce
challenges, advance in technology, changing legal and ethical concerns, evolving
education trends, working within a multicultural society, research and evidence-based
practice.

The course will also include planning, organizing, and conducting seminar on
selected current issue or trend in health system management.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the trimester, the students will be able to;

1. Know the nature of seminar.

2. Describe the graduate research seminar.
3. Differentiate the roles of the seminar leader.
4. Discuss the different issues in health care system
5. Understand and outline the different trends in health care management.
6. Analyze selected ethical theories as a bases for ethical design making.
7. Provide culturally competent care to diverse client groups that incorporates
variations in biologic characteristics social organization, environments control
and other phenomena.
