1. Record one, two or four composite/HD-SDI/3G-SDI signal(s).

Recorder must auto detect the input

signal. Ideally should be able to mix and match input resolutions if multiple inputs.

2. Should be able to output to composite, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI or HDMI. selectable to customer. If multiple
inputs, than multiple outputs.

3. Two audio inputs.

4. GPS Input. Overlay coordinates, speed, altitude, heading, time/date.

5. Power input should be 12-28VDC OR VAC

6. Record to removable drive. SSD.

7. Needs a control panel which can control all functions if DVR is mounted in cargo area. Not necessarily
touch screen. Button on side of screen ok.

8. Must be NVG compatible. Both DVR and controller.

9. Should be able to play back video on VLC, windows media player or apple computer.

10. Shock, vibration, EMI, and temperature test (can be later)

11. Completely automated function. No pilot or user interaction. When power is applied, start recording.
When power is cut, stop recording. This should be a settings option. Not all customers want this..

12. Should be able to record to USB, SD or SSD. Up to 4TB should be acceptable.

13. Customers should be able to overlay custom text and place it anywhere on the screen. And Logo.

14. Playback while recording. Ok if not possible.

15. Customers should be able to build their custom recorder. They specify inputs/outputs. Connector
types. Audio. Overlay. And we build around their spec.

16. If multiple inputs being recorded. And at anytime one of the inputs stops working, the other inputs
should keep recording. Only the one input should be corrupted, not all.

17. Should be able to record PAL or NTSC

18. Built in WiFi. Should be able to stream all channels in SD. Should be able to enter DVR settings using
WiFi. Ideally don’t want to have to connect to DVR via a cable to enter settings. An app or program
would be needed. If app, then should be able to view live cameras, control DVR and change settings. If
no app, no problem.

19. Should be able to record RAW video.

20. Should be able to set way-points during flights. .gpx format.

21. System status on the DVR and controller box. Should give feedback if something is wrong or if
everything is OK.

22. Should be able to take snap shots during recording.

23. External triggers can be added for record switch, way-point, snapshot, push to talk for audio.

24. Should have an aux port for audio.

25. Should have a USD Port for charging an external device. 12vdc Out.

26. “Clean power” and “clean audio signal” should be address internally. A lot of customers have audio
problems because of their old components.

27. Should be able to overlay frame counter.

28. Should have the option of multiplexing multiple channels and record to one file.
