Shimada, researching winter habitat of Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKWs) and Offshore Killer Whales (OKWs). Primary responsibilities included passive acoustic localization of killer whale vocalizations and clicks using Ishmael and Pamguard, and deployment and retrieval of towed hydrophone array.
