RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

SeeSaw is a website that allows educators to upload notes and assignments as a picture to the website. These pictures can then
be drawn on and talked over by the teacher. After finishing the picture/video, the teacher can have the students add these to
their journal for them to look at later.

Students will also be able to upload a picture of their homework onto SeeSaw for the teacher to see and then give them
immediate feedback.

This can be used to show parents what their students are doing and for students to look back at what they did wrong and right
and work on it.

When the teacher approves a students work onto SeeSaw that students parents will get a notification that something has been
uploaded, after which they can look at.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

To use SeeSaw I would, put a lesson onto the website for all of the students to download onto their journal. I will have them
download this lesson before class so that while they are in class they can be watching this lesson at their own pace. Students will
be able to rewind what I am saying and take the time that is needed for them to fully understand what is going on. I will also have
students upload their work with comments on what they found hard or what they did not understand. This way, if a lot of
students are confused on the same thing, during class I can inform everyone to look up and we will work on the problem
together.

We could also use this as a side by side during a lesson so students can comment when they need help etc, but they can also
follow along in a different setting.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would rate SeeSaw a 2 because I do not think that it transforms a lesson in a way that the lesson cannot do on its own. However,
I think that this website will enable students to look back and study, watch lessons etc right from the comfort of their home. The
students would also be able to be engaged with the teacher at all times, instead of feeling as if they are not being heard. This
website will be a tool for the students specifically, my purpose for the website is to see all of their work in once place but SeeSaw
will be very useful for students when it nears exams.
