Work Description:
 Receives patient for admission
 Obtain personal data, brief history and initial vital signs
 Assists physicians in performing diagnostic, therapeutic procedures while
in the emergency room
 Performs intravenous insertion as ordered
 Administers medication through oral, intramuscular and intravenous route
 Records pertinent data on chart
 Endorses patients recorded data on chart, administered medications and
other procedures done in the emergency room
 Assists physician in Nasogastric tube insertion, emergency cut down and
suturing
 Performs catheter insertion and nebulization
 Transfer and wheel patients per stretcher or wheelchair and endorses to
ward nurse
