Cement manufacturing process begins with mining the limestones at the mine sites
around the factory, and then the limestones destroyed with limestone crusher. In another
place, clay mined and transported to the plant site. Clay mixed with limestone
granules. Limestone and clay that had been mixed up stored into storage. While silica sand
and iron sand prepared as needed. Before grinding, the four raw materials in specified
proportions which is controlled by a computer system and ready milled in the raw
material grinding machine to achieve the fineness of 90 micron. After the materials out
from rawmill, then stored in mixing silos until the material reaches a homogenous
condition. Materials that have been homogenized feed into the preheater then into the
rotary kiln. In the rotary kiln where it is burnt material with a temperature of 1350
degrees Celsius to 1400 degrees Celsius. The result is a granular granules called
slag. Then, Slag suddeny cooled in a cooling device. This is the final form of slag (clinker),
the result of mixing four raw materials. Slag and then stored in a storage silo slag. Slag
crushed with gypsum in the final grinding machine. Finally, portland cement produced
which has a fineness of 40 micron. Especially for Portland pozzolan cement, cement
mixtures are still added by pozzolan. Results from the final grinding of cement stored into
the cement storage silo. Cement packed in packaging bags, jumbo bags, or in bulk for
distribution.
